I have a friend who is a boy. he is very kind to me. he may like me, but i am not sure about it.
Last week, he must fly to work in another country for 1 year. On his departure day, I was sick so I couldnt see him off at the airport. I called him to say sorry about it. And he said: " U are sick since u lack of 1 thing - a boy friend". He was very calm when he said that. He seemed to think of his sentence before saying that, i mean he prepared to say that.
What is the meaning of his sentence? What is he thinking?

It sounds like he is definitely wanting you to see him as a potential mate. Continue to communicate with him while he is overseas if this relationship is important to you.
If not, overlook it and move on.

if he is a close, close friend then he could have just been making a comment about your lack of ability to get a bf, in which case it sounds a bit disrespectful.
but, then again, maybe he was just testing the water. maybe say to him "so what should i do to find a boy?" shows you were listening to him. say it like ur really serious, and pay close attention to his answer. if he says 'go out with me', even jokingly, then he has a crush on you. if he suggests he sets you up, reject the idea. he is doing it to keep a hold on you and he might warn off any potential love interests. this might be bc he wants to keep you as a backup. if he says nice general things or not much at all then he just made a harmless comment that you have unneccisarily overprocessed.
my bet is that he likes you, and you have a good opportunity to talk to him alot via email/phone while he is away. you can be a bit flirty, and also a good opportunity to become really close to him. hard to start something while he is away, but might start something when he gets home, if you can wait that long...

It's hard to say what exactly he was thinking. But it's obvious what he wasn't thinking.
He didn't show any concern for your health and well-being. And this means that he either didn't believe you that you were sick or he didn't care.

In my opinion he simply mean to say that you are sick because he left. That is because you need him. I personally think that he likes you. Try to find out more about his feelings. Wish you all the best.

he's just sad u r not there and think that u r cooking up some reason not to see him off...wait till he returns and tell him that u really were too sick and didnt want to pass ur sickness to him
