The Holy Ghost is the Third Person of the God Head. He is
God Almighty one with the Father and the Son, and He works
by love.
I Corinthians 13;8a, Love never fails!!!!!

The holy ghost is probably the biggest mystery in Christianity. It is one of the Trinity along with Father and Son. It is usually explained in terms related to the power of love and an inner voice similar but different from conscience.

There is no evil counterpart to the Holy Spirit, just as there is no counterpart to the Father or the Son. Satan is not a counterpart to God. He is just a rebellious underling. The Antichrist is not a counterpart to the true Christ. He is anti in the sense of false not opposite. There are people and forces that pose as an opposite to the Holy Spirit but they are all pretenders.

fred
What is the Holy Ghost? It's a sign. The sign that Paul spoke of; tongues was a sign to unbelievers. What is the Holy Ghost today to a human being when It comes? It's to circumcise. We've allowed It to too many things. It's the Person, the Holy Spirit Himself, the resurrected Christ. Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience, faith. That's the Holy Ghost. It is the Spirit of Christ in you. It's a Seal. It's a Covenant. It's the Spirit of Jesus Christ in you. "A little while," said Jesus, "and the world sees Me no more, yet ye shall see Me; for I will be with you, even in you to the end of the world." What is the Holy Ghost? It's Christ in you, the Comforter; that's the Holy Spirit. "And when the Comforter has come, He will do the same things that I done while the Comforter is in Me. I'll pray the Father, and He'll give you this Comforter." What is He? He's a Seal; He's a Sign; He's a Comforter. It's an Advocate. It has mercy; It stands in your place; It does things that you can't do; It's a propitiation for your sins. It's your Righteousness; It's your healing; It's your Life; It's your Resurrection; It's all that God has for you. What is the Holy Ghost? The Rest. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. The One that comes in you, gives you peace, your Sign, your Comforter: comforted, at rest, sealed. The world knows something's happened to you. What is It? t's the Spirit of God living in the church, prophesied exactly what It would be when It come; It would be a everlasting, eternal rest. What is the Holy Ghost? Promise to the believers, that's what It is. Who's It promised to? To believers. Luke 24:49, listen at Jesus speaking. At the end when He was ascending up into glory, the ascension, here's the words He said to His disciples: ... behold, I send the promise of my Father... (What promise? The Seal, the Sign, the Comforter, and all these things that I've spoke of)... I send the promise of my Father upon you:... (What promise? The one that Isaiah said would come. "With stammering lips and other tongues, I'll speak to this people. I'll send that rest upon you. I'll send what Joel spoke of 'that it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I'll pour out My Spirit upon you.' Oh, I'll send to you and make all nations, all people beginning from Jerusalem... I'll bring in the seed of Abraham under this covenant. I'll seal away every one of them. I'll pour out My Spirit.")... I'll send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye... (means, "wait")... in the city of Jerusalem, until you're endued with power from on high. What is the Holy Ghost then? Power from on high, not power from the bishop, not power from the church, but power from on high. The Power. Here's where they get power; here's where they supposed to wait; here's what happened when they did it. Promised to the church, to believers.... and... filled all the house where they were set.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like... of fire, and it set upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and begin to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. What is the Holy Ghost? It's not something people laugh at. There'll be a resurrection. That's what the Holy Ghost is for. What is the Holy Ghost? God in you. What's It for? To continue His work among His people; to bring His church together; to bring a church to a place in this day, far beyond the Lutheran, Methodist, and Pentecostal, into a place to a adoption and a rapturing grace, that when this part of the church, when the Spirit moves into this church here, it'll just raise.

It is God's active force that he uses to accomplish different tasks

In the Hebrew Scriptures, or the “Old Testament,” there are references to the “holy spirit” and to “my [God’s] spirit.” (Psalm 51:11; Joel 2:28, 29)

We read that the holy spirit can fill a person, come upon him, and envelop him. (Exodus 31:3; Judges 3:10; 6:34)

Some of God’s holy spirit can be taken from one person and given to another. (Numbers 11:17, 25)

The holy spirit can become operative upon someone, enabling him to perform superhuman feats.—Judges 14:6; 1 Samuel 10:6.

What can reasonably be concluded from such statements?

Surely not that the holy spirit is a person.

How can a portion of a person be taken from one individual and be given to another?

Moreover, there is no evidence that when Jesus was on earth, faithful Jews viewed the holy spirit as a person equal to the Father.

They certainly did not worship the holy spirit.

Rather, their worship was directed solely to Jehovah, the One whom Jesus himself called “my Father” and “my God.”—John 20:17.

Like the so-called Old Testament, the part of the Bible called the Christian Greek Scriptures, or “New Testament,” says that the holy spirit can ‘fill’ a person or be “upon” him. (Acts 2:4; Luke 2:25-27)

Holy spirit was ‘given,’ ‘poured out upon,’ and ‘distributed.’ (Luke 11:13; Acts 10:45; Hebrews 2:4)

At Pentecost 33 C.E., the disciples received “some of” God’s spirit. (Acts 2:17)

The Scriptures also speak of baptism with holy spirit and of anointing with it.—Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:5; 10:38.

Such Biblical statements prove that the holy spirit is not a person.

This conclusion is confirmed when we see that the holy spirit is listed with other impersonal things.

For instance, the Bible states that Stephen was “full of faith and holy spirit.” (Acts 6:5)

And the apostle Paul recommended himself as God’s minister “by purity, by knowledge, by long-suffering, by kindness, by holy spirit, by love free from hypocrisy.”—2 Corinthians 6:4-6.

The Holy Ghost is part of an imaginary Deity that people worship because they have left self thought behind and accepted their religion to think for them and that is how it works.

This is a question that better minds than ours are still debating. Since the original meaning of the word was feminine, it could be interpreted as the feminine aspect of god (don't say that to your pastor though:) In my life I recognize it as the influence of god, giving you good ideas, guiding you. Evil spirits? Well, Jesus cast them out they say. But you can't have both. You have to decide which you want and that's what you get.
