Drinking water is as healthy as it gets beverage-wise.
Every other drink has sugars in it which are empty calories. In that sense, yes, water will help you with your diet

Actually, drinking lots of water helps you to detox and when you detox away things that should not be in your body, then you will lose weight.
Also, drinking water makes you feel full such that you will not tend to crave for and eat other junk foods which will help you put on extra weight.
But you cannot lose weight just by drinking water and not eating. You are merely encouraged to drink more water to enhance the detox process.

I have to watch my weight and I've found out that drinking a full glass of water about half an hour before a meal will help me to eat a little less. Sometimes we just load ourselves down at meal time and a lot of that turns right to fat.

Its a total load.
Most of your total weight you lose is water anyways so how would it help to drink lots of water?
There is no shortcut to losing weight and getting healthy. You just need to exercise regularly and eat smart.
If you exercise you should drink lots of water during the hours before. It will not help you loose weight but it will keep your workout going longer because you will not be dehydrated.
A good way to burn fat is walking long distances.
Also, eat smaller portions. It takes 20 minutes for your brain to tell you that you're full. Eat slower and not in front of the TV.

water just makes you feel full.
if u wanna lose ur weight or diet, before eating u should drink 1 glass of water then eat. water will make your stomach feel full and makes you eat lessen than usual.
and also water is non calories unlike others beverage which has sugar in it.
maybe water is not really helping in losing weight but it helps u to not gain weight easily..

ABSOFREAKINLUTELY! Drinking water hydrates the body and fights off the feeling of being hungry. By having a lot of water in your stomach you feel full most of the time. It also helps with metabolism to help burn the most calories.

Water is obviously the largest part of our bodies and aids the body in almost every function. You'll sleep better, think better, feel fuller, and it helps metabolize fat.
Chug it and have it around you at all times.

Well, I'm a dietician, and you have to believe me, thought i cannot show you my certificates :-)
DO NOT BELIEVE THIS ! NOPE ! DRINKING WATER DOES NOT HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT. ITS JUST A CRAP.
True tat it makes you feel full, but you cannot keep drinking water to lose weight :D
