I just stand mine in the bath tub and wet him, then shampoo him (with doggy shampoo - NOT human shampoo) and then rinse him off thoroughly. Easy peasy........

I fill the bath tub with luke warm water and place the dog in it slowly and gently so he doesn't get scared and I talk softly to him and praise him. I sit on the edge of the tub with my feet in the water, wet him down with a large glass of the water. Stay calm and the dog will too (hopefully) Dog shampoo is good, but my vet says baby shampoo is also fine and cheaper. I put the shampoo on his torso first and rub it in, then each foot and underneith, etc. I don't get his head wet until the end, and that is when I pour a small amount of water on the top of his head, and soap it. I use a wet wash cloth for his face so I don't get soap in his eyes. Then I rinse his body off with clean water from the faucet, finishing with the face again using a soap-free wash cloth drenched with water. Be sure to leave your dog's collar on in the beginning until he gets used to baths so you'll have something to hold on to in case he decides to bolt. After he's totally rinsed, I close the shower curtain/door and let him shake before I take him out of the tub and wrap him with a warm towel. After all of this, I clean and sanitize the bath tub, then go put on dry clothes..good luck!

I bathe my doggies in the bath tub since it has the shower hose. Using warm water, I wet their fur first and then apply dog shampoo from head (becareful not to let water go into their ears and eyes) to bottom of their paws (don't forget their tail). After I applied the dog shampoo, I use a gentle brush to brush their fur. Then after, I use the shower hose to rinse the shampoo off. When you're done, use a towel to dry them or a blow dryer (usually for thick and long fur). Good luck =).

First start bathing when the dog is still a puppy! I bathe my dogs in my bath tub. They do not "jump right in" the tub, rather I have to coax them (I bathe one at a time). I have a cup that I rinse them with. Once they are in the tub they like it. After their bath, they are so frisky! Also, after I towel dry them, I put a little Stetson Cologne on them...all my men wear Stetson;)!

In the summer, I take my greyhounds into the yard and run the hose on low pressure. This way, when they shake off the water, they don't get the house wet.

In the colder months, we just use the shower head (flexi-hose). Our greyhounds, however, have odd muscles, and after a while their legs buckle, so we have to watch for them or they fall over.
