I have been with my boyfriend 6 months, for the last month, whenever I ask him if he wants me to come upto his (its 1 1/2 hrs drive). he says "if you want" , what is thats supposed to mean, that he doesnt care either way or hes just insecure that I might not want to go up there?

It means he doesn't want you to come, but doesn't want to say that. I used to say that to my gf all the time, trust me.

Agree with Mo!! Your bf don't sound very excited at all. Does he work alot? Is he just too tire for the drive? Consider other factors as well. Talk to him face to face next time you see him. If you are together and you notice that he is behaving in manners that is not conducive to a healthy relationship such as not displaying any affection or is not attentive to you, take into the fact that those are warning signs that the relationship is going sour.

P.S. my husband responds that way alot too when I ask him to go somewhere...he says "if you want to". He acknowledges that it does not mean he doesn't want to go but he supports whatever decision I make because he is indecisive.

He does not want to hear you whine about how long you had to drive. If you go to see him dont whine so much about having to drive. The reason you drove half an hour to see him is because YOU WANTED TO. Only read this if YOU WANT TO. If you dont like the answer dont ask the question. I bet you like the answer now. :)

How has your relationship been with him? Good? Happy? Awesome? If so, then maybe he just doesn't want to trouble you or seeing you stuck in traffic for a long time just to go to his house. I'm sure he cares about you.. just indecisive I guess. Ask him why he keeps saying "if you want."

Well to me it seems that he is fading away from you by you living so far away from him. You never know what he might be up to but i hope everything works out between you guys :)

You need to seriously evaluate this relationship. If he doesn't care about you coming up to see him, especially in a long-distance relationship, you need to get rid of him. I'd be taking every opportunity I could to see my girl if we were having a distance relationship. His answer should be "hell yeah!".
