No single food makes you fat. It's the sum total of what you eat You can get fat on potatoes. But you can also get fat on bread, corn, pasta and almost anything. In general, fatty foods will tend to make you gain faster because they are "calorie dense": they have more calories per gram (fat = 9cal/gm; protein and carbs 4cal/gm) But if you eat enough of anything, you can gain weight.

Yes and No there are all kinds of potatoes most are high in the wrong kind of carbohydrate!! and they will make you fat if you have too many!! some potatoes are good (CHAT potatoes & SWEET potatoes) they contain a different kind of carbohydrate that is not as bad for you.
But anything eaten in excess is fattening.

It depends on how many potatoes you eat. If you ate so many potatoes everyday that your calorie intake was more than your energy output, you would get fat, so true. If you eat a potato a day with a balanced diet, you will not, so false.

If you take in more calories than you burn, you will get fat. That includes potatoes. So, to make a long story short, potatoes can make you fat.

Potatoes don't just necessarily just make you fat, but you should watch the cholesterol and the starch intake ...if eating them on a regular basis.

Any calories can add to weight gain if you do not get enough physical exercise. That said, starchy things like potatos metabolize less efficiently. I wouldnt worry about it though, they're very healthy in other respects.

the potato's it self no, it's always the juice, sauce and oils that makes you fat. the normal plate contains three type of food.
1.) Meat / gives you protein to rebuild lost damaged tissues in your body, it's also contains cholesterol, fats
2.) vegetables /contains only vitamins and minerales
3.) Rice, potato's or nude ls /this is needed to help your stomach in process.
