Kway Chap.... the really good ones make the innards taste really tender and juicy. And the Kway is usually very thin and smooth, with a tasty soup base. And I like stuff like Kway Chap, Bak Kut Teh or Zhu Za Tang (Soup with Pork innards) as these are dishes that I think are truly unique of Singapore (and Malaysia).

The best Kway Chap I've tried so far is the one at the hawker centre at Toa Payoh Lor 8, but that stall sells out really early in the day. On a weekend morning (either saturday or sunday), the stall will sell out their Kway Chap before 10 am in the morning and close shop for the day!

Carrot cake, they are really good, try the one at clementi central food centre, u will see a long queue at the stall there, with an old man wearing a rattan hat, u won't miss it. Then there is claypot rice, also at clementi, avenue 2, that place is packed with people every evening, it seems everyone only eat at that stall during dinner time. If you are a new customer, the stall owner will usually ask if u can wait for at least one hour for your food, cos all regular customers will know the waiting time.

Char Siew or Roast Pork or Chicken rice at Commonwealth Market. The lady there serves a bigger than normal plate and gives home made soup too. She gives veg as well. She even asks whether or not the rice is enough. And all for $2. I think she is an angel in disguise.
