The most fundemental freedom is the right to life. They are radicalising the middle east, making terrorist attacks in New York, London or Paris more likely.

Wake up Shea, c´mon now...more people are dying in Iraq now than ever did under Saddam. Do you think this is freedom? and what makes you think you can force people to have the society as yours? Is this not the same as the Soviets forcing its neighbours to be Communist?

Sorry Slick,
Our military is actually building some strong personal ties with the Arabs. These ties expand and grow stronger.
If you notice, the Spanish weenied out after their trains were bombed. The British have a large Islamic population and a whole bunch of weak kneed politicians who pander to them. The largest industry in France is manufacturing white flags.
If you notice there has not been a successful terrorist attack in the US since September 11, 2001. Richard Reid tried to blow up a plane. The before and after photographs provide a stark demonstration about what the American male reaction to terrorism is.
The Islamo Fascists understand strength. I do not care if they hate me or love me as long as they respect me.
How much more radical can they get?

You need to wake up yopu retard. Iam here in Iraq right now. Boots on the ground doing patrols with the Army every damn day. Ther is so much that is being doen over here that the news agencies WON'T report it's sickening. We roll into a place, fix the infrastructure and give them power light and clean water, rebuild the schools and hospitals. After we leave the insurgents come in a destroy everything we did for them and threaten the peoiple to hide thier stuff and them or they will kill them. Yeah they would have it SOOOO Much better if we weren't here. Think about this you slack jawed retard. How would you feel kowing that every morning when you walk outside your house/apartment to get your morning paper you might not make it back to your front door? How would you feel if every time you went to the market you wouldn't know if some fanatic was going to walk up behind you and detonate himself killing himself, you and everyone around you? That's the way it is over here and it's not beacause we are here, it's because these terrorists aren't trying to make Iraq better, they want to go back to the days when and entire village bowed down to them because they had a gun. The Iraqi people are standing up to the thugs and terrorists and trying to take their country back and make it safe to raise their familys and have a life. We are helping them with this. So how bout this.... Until you are over here to see for your self what is going on why don't you have a nice hot steaming cup of shut the f**k up and quit beliveing everything you see on TV.

I personally don't think that the war in Iraq has much to do with terror, or the preservation of freedom. I believe that the conflict in Iraq is creating a new freedom for a country who previously, had little to none.
Our initial premise for entering Iraq was to find Weapons of Mass Destruction. After the ten years or so of warning that we would invade if we had probable cause of WMD-- Suprise, suprise, by the time we enter we find out that there are none.
Well, though the premise of entering Iraq was shady. The mission is still the same. During Sadams control Iraqis were terrified to walk the streets, have their own beliefs, start a business, build a home, and alot of other things. Sadam was a madman, no questions this. So why question the right to take him from power?
In any country with a dictator, when you remove the head, those with the most guns step into power in their local communities. Just like anywhere else, this is true in Iraq. Religious leaders find themselves drawn toward voilence and destruction as a way of keeping control of their confused and shaken community. And now , we have the battle. Which group can successfully unite the Iraqis against the U.S. and force us out? That's the goal for them.
The goal for us still them same. To represent those who don't fall in that category. Which in my experience was the majority. Those who no longer wish to be affraid of leaders with guns. Those who want more freedom, and a more liberated and democratic goverment. Those who wish for a more settled and peaceful Iraq for their children's children.
Iraq, like any conflict is controversial. Oh well.
When you turn on the TV, you see what the media wants you to see. When you read an American book from an American who has never left his home in New York, then you also inherit their belief.
Also on TV, you see a bunch of 'rag-heads' and women in black. Iraq is so much more. If the camera were to pan around to the other street corner, you'd see women in jeans and sunglasses. You'd see hard working fathers raising their sons to their profession. You'd see children with DVDs, and CD's, listening to 50-Cent. Iraq is so much more complicated than media leads to beleive.
We are in Iraq to represent the majority of Iraqis who want us to stay, and keep them safe. The majority who are begging for freedom. The only thing that slows the process down, is those who attempt to be open-minded, are actually more close-minded than they'd like to think. Those congressmen, senators, and represenatives, who have never been to Iraq, or any war, or conflict. They currently represent average uninformed Joe Smoe. Like John Kerry who voted to send me to Iraq, but not to pass a bill that will give me a decent bulletproof vest, food, or ammo.

Have you even talked to an American soldier who has been to Iraq? Have you not heard of all the good we are doing there? Those people needed help and we are giving them the same freedoms we have. Without us helping them, many more Iraqis would have died under Saddam's reign. No, I don't think they are threatening our freedom at all, they are just spreading it to other countries.

No there are not more people dieing in Iraq now than when Saddam was in power, that's pure bull****. He killed and tortured people by the thousands. Also look close most of the people killed in Iraq now are killed by roadside bombs, and suicide bombers. Other Iraqis. The Sunnis hate the Shiites and they both hate the Kurds that hate both of them.

No, they're getting rid of future terrorists that will come to our country and make trouble for us.
Sooner or later, they'll run out of suicide bombers.
