This site offers some suggestions for matching dress style to body shape.

I've also seen some beautiful Elizabethan gowns- the lines of an Elizabethan dress are wonderful for providing or enhancing the illusion of an hourglass figure, with the V waist and split skirt. The nice thing about the Elizabethans is that you can easily use vertical or diagonal colored trim to break up the visual horizontal distance.

I am the same size as you and I was worried about the same thing...until I walked out onto the aisle and watched my now husband's eyes tear up. Every bride is beautiful. I suggest trying on several dresses to find the one you are most comfortable in. You would like to see one of my wedding pics, email me and I will send you one. My dress was very intricate, had buttons all down the back and train. Also try hairstyles and jewelry that pull attention torward your upper body and away from trouble spots.
Best Wishes!

I was a good bit over weight when I got married. I found a white dress that was plain, but beautiful. It had only lace and bead accents on the end of the sleeves (short sleeves is what I had..married in June), and at the bottom of the dress. It had a short train on it and like I said it was beautiful...but nothing really elaborate. Do Not get a bow on the butt.....they will make you look wide...even if your not wide back there...lol. I think a simple, elegant, white dress will look beautiful on you. Just be confident in who you are and others will see how beautiful you truly are....no matter what the dress looks like.

I guess it depends. Is you chest big for your size or does it match? My advice (being a size 12 bride myself) emphasize the best part of your body. For example my boobs are average I have a smaller than average waist. My hips and butt are bigger than average. I decided on a halter dress that is tighter on top and more flowy on the bottom but not poofy. Just look at your wardrobe and see what you feel better wearing in everyday life.

You are not fat! Geez, you a wonderful 6 ft of woman!
Yes, I know you could starve yourself to weigh 25 pounds, but why?
As for your dress, just go try them on. I wouldn't go for something toooo frilly as it'll look like you're trying to be a little girl. And maybe stay away from a bustle, unless your backside is more flat.
You will be a gorgeous bride as are all. Carry yourself with grace, confidence & pride.
Your fiance loves you; all 6 feet of you!

Empire waists and a line skirts without alot of lace or beading is probably your best bet.
