I think they are missing the question. I am reading between the lines and if you offered money for sex and were caught in a sting and arrested then the actual exchange of money does not have to occur. If you had the conversation agreeing to pay for a sexual act it is illegal. Yes it sucks and its seems like entrapment but you are stuck with it.The options are 1. First offender plea to keep it off your record. Contact the solicitors office and see if you can do this without an attorney. 2. Hire an attorney to defend you in court he may be able to negotiate a plea to keep it off your record. If would try to avoid a trial, they probably have the incident and conversation on tape. Good Luck!

Well, im not in CA but in Canada and although the money issue is important if exchanged so is the place. Public sex, even in a car backseat, is illegal just about everywhere. That's all i know.

My girlfriend and i were caught doing it parked in a city park. The cops pulled up, we freaked, they laughed and drove off.

Yes. But, if you are providing her with some other monetary benefit in exchange for sex, that counts as money. Examples would be a car or a house.

As long as you're just meeting for sex, as in, a one night stand for example, You're fine. It's only illegal if you exchange things of Value, ALSO, it's illegal if you're doing it as blackmail. i.e... I'll tell the world you ran over your neighbo's dog if you don't sleep with me.

If it wasn't, husbands & wives could be arrested for going into the bedroom.

Perhaps you should reword or clarify your question.
