If you are not on the left coast you need to source it through someone in the "biz" aka, restaurant. If you know someone who works in a local restaurant that buys their food from a broad-line distributor like SYSCO, FSA, US FOODS, or a local Seafood Company, ask them if they could buy you a 1 lb Tub of fresh Dungeness for you. It should be around $12-16 /lb and will be a 60/40 ratio of body -vs-claw meat.
Make sure you get a true Duneness Crab container. It will always be marked as such on it while other varietals of Crab meat may only be labeled as "Crab Meat". Enjoy it when you get it....

It really depends the area you live in? If you live near California, it's ready available.Even in Arizona, but it's sold by the pound in Arizona. And since those crabs are rather large, be willing to pay! I hope this helps, you? I live in Maryland, so I get Blue Channel Crabs in the summer, in the winter I get my crabs from Texas,Carolina,Florida!
