It should be labelled as a theory in my opinion. Sure this could go along with agnostic beliefs. Please give me your insights!
Please, pretty pretty please refrain from "God is real" blah blah blah thanks!!!!

I agree that god is imaginary. But I just want some insight on what the global community thinks of my little question.

Hmmm....if your going to give the usual I believe in god stuff, please don't answer my question. I don't want to offend anyone, and I'd like it if people wouldn't give me the usual I'm going to burn in hell crap. I just want some nice thoughtful insightful answers! Is that too much to ask? Thanks again!!!

Read Joseph Campbell.
Religion was invented out of fear: people didn't have answers for things they saw, so they invented something to explain it and hide their ignorance. The problem is, somewhere in human history people got the idea that the invented answers, the emotional security blanket that is religion, was somehow "the truth", rather than the real world around them.
There is nothing wrong with people wanting to believe in something imaginary, the problem comes when they expect to be able to force that belief onto others through physical, emotional, or legal violence.

There are just too many factual eveidence of a "creator", who some call God, some call Allah, others call Budah and so on in different religeons and when one looks around, so many creations (like human bodies, animals, plants, planets, the solar system etc) which have been created to work like a clock and with a purpose that it is impossible to even think of God just as a theory and dismiss and ignore the everyday living examples/proofs and think of them as an accident or whatever
The whole life around us has been created in such a calculated measure that it would be impossible for it to have just happened by itself without anyone having creating it.This subject could take pages and pages to write about but just use a human body as an example, all the parts/organs in the body and the functions and the purposes they perform just to keep a body living and functioning.....every part of the body is so calculated to perfrom so precisley and provide a benefit which we could not live without....and this happens again and again everytime a new baby is born..... Now start analysing the animals, the brids, the plants in the same way, then start thinking about the earths regular movment, the sun which we could not live without and could not just happen to be there shining on us regularly for no reason by accident and so on.......Think about them with an open mind..Apart from the above evidences, our human brains are not advanced to that level of power to be able to accept the creator without having actually seen/heard or touched it...The same as years ago when people thought talking to someone on the otherside of the world through a box (cell phone) was just a wooodoo stuff, until it happend.

God is a theory...the big bang is a theory.. A Theory is something that can NEVER be proved. Don't waste your Life attending Church every week thinking you will go to heaven if you believe in GOD. Volunteer your time to help other people directly. Don't put GOD above your family and friends. GOD will not be there for you. Your friends and family are there for you. Don't think that you'll fix it after you die. Fix it now because GOD is a Theory and Heaven would also be a Theory and life after death is a Theory but your friends and family are a FACT.

I think that God is considered a theory, except by those who believe in God, perhaps - as are all religious figures and even the science around the big bang, right? I mean, there is no way to know the unknowable. It's all just conjecture, opinion, instinct and Faith, right?
Peace!

I guess it could be called a theory. That would be better than just blindly believing in 'his' existence. That would give a bad name to the word "theory" though, because most scientific theories have more evidence than 'god'. Good idea though, thanks for your thought!! ;0)

Theory: A set of statements or principles devised to explain a group of facts or phenomena, especially one that has been repeatedly tested or is widely accepted and can be used to make predictions about natural phenomena.
Hrmm... the exitence of God doesn't seem lend itself to making predictions about natural phenomena very well. I mean, He could reverse gravity at any time!
... good thing there's no God. ;)

A theory is supported by evidence, so no, god is not a theory. At best it's a myth.

Hello you answered my question... The lead singer of tool and a perfect circle does sing against christianity, yes, But he does believe in god but not a conforming religion,. "**** your god" Maynard sings, is not about his all loving god, but about your god the christian conforming using fear to controll god.
