I was a size ten from 17 to 23 years of age. I have been a size 2 to 4 for twelve years now without real dieting or strenuous workouts. I am 5' 5" and 118 lbs, even after having two children. My secret? I eat all day and I only eat things that aren't full of partially hydrogenated oils, saturated fats or tons of refined sugar. I eat DO sweets, I drink coffee, I eat carbs.....what I do NOT do is eat big meals, fast-food (unless you know it's not full of junk like broiled chicken breast or something like that), food that has a unnecessarily high fat content (costco muffins, for example, have up to 68 grams of fat per muffin which exceeds the recommended allowance for THE ENTIRE DAY based on a 2300 calorie/day diet!), starve myself or restrict calories. What I DO do is eat little portions, (about 1/8th of a typical resteraunt's huge portion up to 1/2 of what would be considered a "smaller portion serving resteraunt"), about every two hours. I park far away from where I'm going and walk briskly to get there. I take stairs whenever I can. I do my own yard work. I just stay active....but I don't go to the gym. I have 12% bodyfat as indicated VIA the water displacement method, one of the most accurate methods available, which is actually a bit under the "recommended minimum" for women.
I hope you are successful in acheiving your goals and if any of my feedback helps you in your endeavor, please let me know. I wish you all the best-
Kelly

Well here is a weight loss story for you.
When I got pregnant with my daughter 7 years ago I weighed 175lbs. Which isn't much when you'r 5'9" tall. But by the time I had her I weighed 309lbs. After a year of breast feeding I went on a diet. I tryed everything for 4 years to try to get rid of the weight sometimes I would lose and then it would all come back. I didn't know what to do. Then I found a plan that was right for me. Which was the slimfast diet. I had one for breakfast and one for lunch and then I had a light dinner with small snacks in between. (like a banana or small dish of cottage cheese or even a slimfast snack bar) Within 6 months I was down to 227lbs. At first I felt like I was starving but that was only because my body was used to all the extra calories and fat I kept eating But after about one and a half to to weeks my body got used to it and I had more energy and stamina. I felt great. Then I got pregnant with my 2nd child, a little boy, I couldn't drink the slimfast while I was pregnant so i had to stop. The reasonyou can't drink slimfast when your pregnant is because at certain stages in your pregnancy the baby can't have an over abundance of certain vitamins because it can cause severe abnormalities. And I wanted a strong healthy baby. But thankfully I only went up to 289lbs with him and within a month of having him I lost 40lbs. So now I only weigh 249lbs but as soon as I'm done breastfeeding I'm going back on the slimfast diet. The only reason I can't now is becaue my body needs the extra calorie intake for milk production.
I hope this is the kind of story you ment.

OK, here you go, everything I have ever known about weight loss, that ia am willing to share.
My neighbor just had surgery to lose weight, she is educated, makes great money, but has gained over 100 pounds in the last two years. She was obese to begin with. She has had surgery to bypass a part of her stomach. More power to her. She is youg, beautiful and way overweight. She cannot help it, but believes this is her ticket. I do too, support her choice all the way..

Hi
This sure did help me loose weight so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
Good luck

I lost over 90 pounds this year! Its a sad thing but I had to start dialysis, I now "lose" about 15 pounds a week and gain most of it back for the next treatment.
