Why do Muslims make up lies about converts?

Neil Armstrong, Jaques Cousteau, Maurice Bucaille, King Offa, Abdu'l-Ahad Dawud (Professor David Benjamin Keldani a former Catholic Bishop), the Coptic Cardinal Abu Ishaq.... the list goes on. Is this as much a sign of desperation as it is dishonesty?

Where to you get your information. What Muslims? Where? You know there are more Muslims than Christians around and they tend to be by far more devout to their faith than we are. People convert all the time from one religion to another. So what is the point of your question. I live in the Mediterranean and conversion go on all the time both sides claiming that the convert has seen the true light. A lot of them are not for religious reasons but other-marriage-inheritance-politics-etc. Of the list you give I can confirm one thing. J.Y.Cousteau ( I spent a year aboard the "Calypso" )did not believe in God or other supernatural beings.)

I take no notice I am continuely told O this famus person or this girl is converting even if it is true I can only feel sorry for them I know the lies they are told I have had it repeatedly. its the same God the same faith as abraham had but read the quran it is not try living in an islamic country and you see how the woemen are nothing and the men do not follow the rules beleaving in Gods mercy all I can say is if some accepts islam they did not know God before and certainly not Yeshua the Massiah so they were not truely christian before muslims use lies to convert people and threats to hold them if you try and say you are no longer muslim they would kill you

Stop making rash accusations about religions. Though I can't confirm whether or not those people you've listed have really converted or not. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a religion that hasn't had a member of it lie at least once or twice.
