My favorite is one that combines the both--Pennsylvania Dutch Funny Cake. It can be either a pie crust with a pie filling and then cake batter over that, or the pie crust, batter, and chocolate drizzled over the top so it sinks throughout the cake. I've never found it in any restaurant so I have to make it myself.
In restaurants I want either Dutch Apple pie (the one with the crumb topping) or Blueberry Pie. Both need to be a la mode--but only with chocolate ice cream!
If I make my own cake, I prefer white with chocolate frosting. If I go to Olive Garden I can't resist their Black Tie Mousse Cake.
OK--there goes my diet--I just gained 5 lbs!

My favorite cake and they make this in Hawaii or Hawaiian style crusine restaurants. It is a chantilly cake and if you eat this then (you have to try to cake because it is simply undescribable). It looks like a German chocolate cake but the frosting isn't the same type like the German chocolate. Plus, the frosting on this particular cake is simply (remember you have to try it to describe since I can't tell it to you what the cake taste like). So try already okay!!!

Pies are definitly my favorite! Pies offer a wider variety of tastes and textures than cakes do. I have an awesome recipe for for chocolate mouse pie if you want it let me know. =)

Both will do in a pinch, but Pies are delish!!! Any kind, but I love fruit pies, like apple, cherry, coconut. Chocolate pies with meringue are awesome and I think I have to go get one now!!
