As an agnostic, I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, but there are things that can be proven wrong (it's harder to prove things right).
Athiests: What about Christianity can't be proven wrong? A lot of the response is "The bible predicted things so perfectly!" which has a large series, depending about the specifics they're using to justify that (if any). There are things that can be disproven. But there are also those things that can't be disproven, and that you simply refuse to believe based on insufficient (or contradictory) evidence.
Christians: What about athiesm can't be disproven? Again, don't cite evidence that sugguest things are infinitely likely, cite things that logically can NOT be disproven.
Others: More mediation and social commentary. I really eat up the middle and those outside the diametric line; it's where the good stuff comes from.

BigPappa: More than fair enough. When I was designing this question, I wanted some sense of balance, but I have to admit that it was hard because there are few things ABOUT athiesm in general.

It's possible to prove a negative, but generally difficult to display. I can prove, for example, that I am I. If I am not I, then I am not I, and whatever it is that is not I is not I (and therefore isn't the subject of the context). That's a tautology. So you can prove a negative if it is something that disagrees with a tautology. NOT (A = NOT A) for instance, is provable.

I can disprove Atheists position very easliy and beyond reproach. There is no question that GOD DOES EXIST, even if only as a concept or idea. Love, Hate, Compassion, Charity, etc.. are all only concepts or ideas, but I doubt seriously if anyone would question thier existence or thier profound effect on our daily lives.
And ideas can be very powerful. An idea started our country. An idea provoked the genocide practiced on the Native Americans in the 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. An idea started slavery. An idea gave women the right to vote. An idea split the atom and unlocked the secrets of the universe. Would anyone doubt that any of these existed?
If everyone believed that an asteriod was going to strike the earth tomorrow, ending all life here, there would be massive panic, rioting, looting, etc..., whether or not there actually was an asteroid. If enough people believe in something, it will have the same effect as if it really existed, whether it does or not. Think back to the infamous War of the Worlds broadcast in the 40s. That's why there are churches on every street corner, and pages and pages of them in the Yellow Pages.
The above evidence pretty much smashes Atheisms creditablility. In addition, Atheism is based on a negative premise to start with. Atheism has never done a single, good, positve thing for anyone. There are no Athieist 'soup kitchens' for the poor, manned by Atheist volunteers. There are no Atheist-run homeless shelters, private schools, Youth Organizations, Youth Homes, Food for the Poor programs, or anything else noble and worthwhile. I have never seen an Atheist Volunteer anywhere in the world, placing thier lives in danger to help their fellow humans, without any thought of compensation. The only things I can think of that Atheism has given to the world is Nazism, Facism and Communism.
Atheists falsly pride themselves on the claim that they are "freeing the world" from "repressive dogma", but the world has never asked to be 'freed', and all they accomplish is to remove the checks on our species natural viciousness, greed and competitiveness.
In the choice between a world with no belief in a Higher Power, with atheists in charge, or one with God in it, I know which world I'd rather live in.

God cannot be disproven OR proven. If He allows us to prove his existence, we wouldn't need faith, and that is one of the major parts of chritianity.
So, athiesm is certainly a option from certain viewpoints, but it can't be proven correct, so we can't provide an answer.
We lack knowledge in the matter. Without technology, looking at a doorway sealed shut, can you know for certain whether there is a light on the other side?

The mind of a true scientist, you have. You are going about it better than any Atheist by definition. You are axiomatically better than they being as absolutley neutral to it all.
"Christians: What about athiesm can't be disproven? Again, don't cite evidence that sugguest things are infinitely likely, cite things that logically can NOT be disproven."
I don't worry about it. Atheism has itself set as the wisdom of the world. God has something for them that is waiting: proof of their foolishness. Bear with me as I quote:
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
And so He has. How? By making it obvious only to the saved. His Spirit is the missing element to the Atheist puzzle. They don't understand the Spirit of God. He even makes it a miracle to understand the Bible. And He has made the Bible plentiful by influencing the redeemed to expose it.
Why would He make it conditional? The condition being the influence of His Spirit?
1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
Therein lies the answer:
Because it pleased Him to do it that way.
So I end with your question. Do you require proof? Trust God and He will give it to you. He promised proof if you trust Him. You must take that step to know Him.

Me Atheist
Christianity cant prove:- the miracles, the resurection, perfect bible, the miraculous conception, many day to day claims made by christian leaders(revivals, persecutions etc), old testament so called prophecies, heaven, hell,God, A Triune God, Holy spirit, Israel was in egypt, Adam & Eve, Creation, and so on and so on.
I am not obligated to disprove anything..... but have done so
Modern christianity is filled with imagination's running wild!!
Biblical christianity has many false claims proven false.
You cant prove a negative to be a positive.
BUT
You can prove a negative to be a negative.

The only proof Xians give for their god's existence is "How else did we get here?"
It is impossible to prove a negative; however, there is evidence enough to suggest that a creator god is irrelevant. we can see the universe expanding, which suggests the big bang. We have fossil evidence which suggests that we evolved from a lower life form.
Once it was believed that rain came because God wanted the crops to grow, and lightning struck because we pissed him off. Eventually creationism, too, will be seen for the myth that it is.

The existence God or lack there of can not be proven. As you stated we can show that there is reason for one to believe, but as atheists point out, skepticism is normal.
There's nothing else to disprove that an atheist says about religion that cannot be disproven from my perspective as yet. Atheists don't have opinions relating to God other than that He doesn't exist, that doesn't really offer a lot for me to tell you...

ok.. Atheists can't prove there is not a "God"
Cristians can't prove there is a "God" though some may try to argue that the Bible is proof, but they can't prove that the Bible is not a work of fiction either.
However, while there is NO proof of creationism, there IS proof of evolution, and I have to add the fact that creationism sounds extremely similar to early mythologies cristians are so quick to dismiss as fictional.
