Electrical Eng. will always be in high demand because of the way the world is changing, but will also change in so many ways for every different application. Mechanical Eng. will never go away and will be a stepping stone for Electrical Eng. to provide for the requirements needed. Both of them are very good careers

i think either one would be a very good career choice. neither will become outdated, at least not in the forseeable future, and you can't outsource those like you can with computer engineering. i'd say go with whichever one interests you more because honestly you won't have much trouble finding a job with either degree. if you like machines and working with your hands and things like that, go for mech. but if you like circuits and stuff, go for ee. this isn't anything you don't already know, just giving you something to think about. good luck!!

Both are highly skilled jobs and there will always be a demand for them cause you cant do without either of them.the world is progressing at such a pace that there will always be a shortage of such skilled labour
