I was sleeping and my boyfriend at the time called me and said get up and turn on your TV. I kept saying WHY he kept saying JUST do it.
Meanwhile at the same time my youngest son was graduating from meterology tech, training with the Air Force. The graduation was interrrupted and TV';s brought in. And there stood my son watching it happening. He said he almost fainted....he didn't figure he had joined the Air Force to fight world war 3.

Not long after that my son passed away from natural causes when he was working in Lousiana Barksfield Air Force Base.
I had never had any connection with our military. But gosh, meeting the young men and women in the air force I was brought to my knees in respect for them. I said, if these are the young men and women protecting our country then we need to be very proud.

Just resently I have been able to have my son's picture out in view. I also finally able to display the wooden Flag box that houses his medals and also the flag that was on his coffen.
I am not pro war person, but I believe there are times we need to stand up to the world. I have been told by several guys who were in the military long ago say that we would have 911 heppening on a daily basis if we didn't have a strong military.

Sometimes we just have to trust and pray that our government makes the right decisions. Besides they know things that aren't privy to the average population

One more thing..The Air Force Base put up a Brass Plaque in memory of my son, which is an honor. I have been there and if they did that for everyone who died in the AF, there wouldn't be enough walls to put them on.

My son could see the weather in deminsion and genarals would come to him to explain the weather pattern to them. Many times he would have to say no to a demanding general who wanted to put their air craft in the air. I guess you can say I was very proud of my son. And I miss him like Crazy. He was only 21 yrs old when he passed.

I had just gotten home from working at the hospital all night....ready for a restful slumber when I turned on the TV to catch the weather for the day.....there it was......all over every station. I spent the entire day glued to the TV.....weeping for those who were affected by this tragedy. God Bless the USA Forever.....

2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

At work. A co-worker told me 2 planes had hit the WTC...I didn't believe him (he was a jokester). Then I saw the bosses turning on a tv in the conference room, then another co-worker was listening to the radio reports...then I finally realized something bad was happening.

I was in a small fishing village in southeast Thailand. No TV, radio, newspapers. I did not hear about it until 4 days later when I returned to Bangkok. A Dutch chap came up to me on the street to offer his condolences, and, ended up having to explain what had happened.
