Yes , I'm a farmer's daughter. i have the best recipe for you: 2-cups of flour and 1Tsp. of salt. 1 Egg. a little water. In a bowl mix it all together.then use a rolling pin after putting it all together and ad flour to your rolling pin so it doesn't stick. and a little on the board (FLOUR) and add to the mix a little at a time if it becomes to sticky feeling. roll it out to one quarter of an inch in all directions . doesn't have to be perfect. then let it dry for a couple of hours. then cut into 1 " strips both ways ,put into1 can of chicken broth and 3 cans of water and add chicken Turkey . Turkey legs work good, and you will be the bomb.

As I answer this I am having a bowl of my homemade chicken vegetable soup I can tell you what the ingredients are because I cook smell, taste and sight. This week's soup has: chicken, canned corn green beans and tomatoes, onions, frozen carrots, cabbagem caulflower, sugar snap peas, turnip greens and barley.
Seasoned with saviry, oregano, garlic powder, pinch of coarse ground pepper and powdered beef bouillon. No salt. My herbs are fresh ly grown. The frozen veggies are from my garden. I use a crock pot and let cook about 6 hrs. This makes a thick soup If you want it thinner add more water. Be creative. Sorry for typos, I spell better than I type. You can put just about anything in veg. soup.Forgot the green peppers, celery and chicken.

A quick and easy "nearly homemade" Chicken Vegetable soup.
Ingredients:
1 medium onion, chopped
3 stalks of celery, chopped
2 medium carrots, chopped
(you can buy all of these already cut up in the fridge part of the produce section in any supermarket, if you want)
4 tablespoons olive oil
3 skinless chicken breasts (on the bone)
1/4 cup of dry white wine
1 package of frozen mixed veggies (there are lots of varieties, so choose whatever you like best)
2 large cans of chicken broth or stock (College Inn or Swanson are the best)
Clean and bake chicken breasts at 350 degrees for about 30-40 minutes. Let cool so you can handle them. Cut meat from the bones and chop into bite-size pieces.
In a soup pot, saute onions, celery, and carrots (the base triumverate of any good soup) in olive oil until wilted, but not soft (about 5 minutes)
Toss in chicken and stir
Add wine and cook on high for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Reduce the heat to low and add the chicken broth and frozen veggies.
Season with salt and pepper to taste (the broth is usually salty, so you might not want to add any more), about a tablespoon of dried parsley (or 1/4 cup of fresh chopped parsley), and one dried bay leaf (which you will need to remove before serving the soup).
Simmer for about 1 hour, or until the frozen veggies are well-cooked, but not too soft. While the soup is simmering, you can boil some rice, barley, or small pasta like orzo and toss this into the soup just before serving.
Make sure you have some grated cheese on hand to garnish (preferrably fresh, but the kind in the can will do if that's all you have)
Bon Appetite. : )

yeah, i use a crock pot, and this recipe:
3 or 4 carrots peeled and cut into chunks
3 or 4 stalks of celery cut into chunks
1 large onion diced into large pieces
3 boneless chicken breast halves, either whole or cut into chunks, i cut them up, otherwise you have to take them out later and shred them up.
2 cans chicken broth
2 to 3 cups water
a good shake of parsley, and maybe some chicken bouillon if you think it needs it.
8 oz of noodles, you can either make them or buy them. i make them from an old betty crocker recipe.
throw everything but the noodles into the crock pot, cover and cook on low until the chicken is done, i just let it go most of the day. then, turn it up to high, throw the noodles in, and give them 20 minutes or so. slice up the warm loaf of bread you baked, and have a bowl of soup.
