i am trying to find out if someone is in jail in suffolk county ny
this is public knowledge a free service how come all these "other links ect are only availiable for a fee of course

They're providing a service by looking it up for you. If you knew how you could look it up directly and not pay anything. Sort of like that Lesko guys who sells books that tell you how to access free government programs.

the records are free, but you are paying a service to look it up for you. if you want the public records, call the clerk of courts
