A secret admirer sent you an email through your work email? Let's say you're a professional, white collar, and holds a pretty high position... Would it upset you? Would you be flattered or think it was childish?

Depends if I thought it was a joke or not. Attention's not always a bad thing, so I'd probably be flattered. Plus, I like to solve puzzles, soooo.

But if I held a high position, obviously, I'd have to be careful whatever I did with the situation.

I'd be POed 'cause work e-mail isn't private. I'd write back asking that they not send me any further messages of a personal nature and only use company e-mail for work-related issues.

If I liked her back, I'd ask her out to lunch - then we could talk. It's just too dangerous for a guy to mess around in the workplace. Ya gotta stay out of that minefield.

I'd be flattered, but I'd be worried! I work for one of those places where the work email is under third party scrutiny.

You sound too uptight.As long as it won't get
you in trouble then you should be happy that
some female or male has the hots for you.You need to get some sometimes.Go with the flow buddy.

I dont think I would mind. Just make sure he's not married or anything.

this would depend entirely on the content of the email. these things can be done in a respectful and intriguing manner or .. you know ... not.
