Try not to think about it. Time enough to be scared when it's actually happening.

We all fear the unknown, it is the great question and questions always bring in some form of fear. This is because we may not like the answer. However if you look at death not as an ending but a beginning then you perspective may change. For us pagans and especially us witches we do not fear death. We realize that it is all a part of the spiral of life-death-rebirth. It is a natural cycle. We face the nature of death every year during our most holiest of holidays Samhain (Halloween for the rest of the world). That is when we pay our respects for the spirits of those who have gone before or even through meditation communicate with them. It is a solemn day for us. Do not fear it but accept it as part of the cycle. It takes time but eventually you will be at ease with it.

It is good to contemplate our own death. Here are a few themes:
-Yes, there is a great deal of fear, but it is a fear of the unknown as much as it is of death. Enough to melt your bowels and make your heart race.
-ARe you attached to this world? Yet, do we hate life? A fine line between these two extremes.
-A baby doesn't know that it will be born, does it? But when the time comes, it is.
-Many people join religion for this exact uncertainty. Check out a few of them. Within them are valid treasures beyond value. Some have ways of overcoming that death-fear in a very satisfying manner.

Fear stems from the unknown. Read the book "Death and Dying" by Elizabeth Kubler Ross. It really helped me. Also there's a made-for-tv movie called "Go Towards the Light". This movie deals with a child dying and how his parents helped him die. I'm not saying that you shouldn't fear death, but maybe the book and the movie can help put that fear into perspective. Hope this helps.

If you are a Christian, and if you truly believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is "the way and the truth and the life" - then, no, you should not fear death. It is nothing else but a walk into another, more glorious room.
Is your fear of death a fear of the unknown? Or is it something within you that is telling you that you are not prepared, because you have not yet begun to truly open your heart and soul to God?
Whatever it may be, if you are truly interested in life - and I mean eternal life - then allow this fear of death that you are feeling to be your teacher. For it is natural that we should fear and despise death, in that it is something unnatural and wrong. God did not create our nature to be subject to death and corruption. We allowed death and corruption to steal their way, like parasites causing a dreaded disease, into our nature by turning away from God. And by turning back towards God in love and repentance, we can - through the resurrection of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ - overcome death and corruption, which He has already overcome once and for all.
I hope this helps...

The thought alone is scary, knowing that you are going to be leaving your loved ones. However the good news is that those that believe in Christ Jesus shall fear not,if you believe in him there is no sting in death and you have everything to gain and that is living for eternity with Jesus who reins in Heaven, waiting for the day we join him there. As far as our love ones,we will see them again as long as they believe too! To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!In 1st timothy it states that our Lord did not give us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.Claim that for yourself everyday, that you may find peace, and not fear of anything that may come into your life.Rejoice for God's intent is that you live a long and prosperous life.No matter what, his will be done!No matter what anyone else might say on this issue, you can go to the bible and the things i stated to you are there in it and the bible is the truth,it does not lie,nor do i,i have been where you are and overcame the fear by just the same things i have spoken to you.God Bless you always and best of wishes to you!

Since death is inevitable, why not start looking FORWARD to it?
I watched a very godly old woman die once. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I've never been scared of death since. I once was very depressed and suicide seemed like a good idea, but I kept telling myself, NOPE...I want to hold out for THAT kind of death, instead. :)

I don't think u should fear death because there have been so many before u. I'm going. I really hope. Fear of the unknown is so normal. But just think of it as the trip of a lifetime. The last and final trip of your life. So don't fear my dear. Be cool.

Well...
Here's your options:
a) You die. Your body is broken down by bacteria and if you're lucky you become a fossil, or you are cremated and they throw your ashes somewhere, or keep you in a jar. Either way, there's nothing to worry about.
b) Christianity is correct. You (eventually) end up in heaven or hell, after judgment day. If you're going to heaven, no reason to worry, if you're going to hell, be plenty worried.
c,d,e...) Some other religion is right. I'm not going to describe them and show my ignorance in this subject, but you get the idea.
But, either way, it's inevitable, you are going to die. So you might as well live as fulfilling life as possible, and that means not wasting your short time on earth being afraid.

Why are you afraid? Only be afraid if you dont know where your going. The Bible says that those who belive in Jesus never die. It also says why worry as if by worrying you could add a day to your life. " Dont count your days, make your days count"
May you know the joy of knowing Christ.
