You can post notes at the pet shops, groomers and anywhere there are bulletin boards, saying you will water gardens while people are vacationing, or feed and water dogs..
Autumn is on the way..you can go door to door and ask if they need leaves raked...you can offer yard poop cleanup, done twice per week..You can go shopping with old people and help them carry their groceries, Just be certain that your parents meet EVERY one that you work for.
If you lived near me, I would hire you to help me brush my dogs..I pay $5 per hour, so that is about what you can expect.

Child Labor Laws vary from State to State. Some jobs, such as working on a family farm, are often allowed in many states. In the majority of states, all persons under 18 are required to have a Work Permit signed by their parents and their school. To learn more, visit your school's guidance counselor.
The standard age for baby sitting is 13 years old.
All that aside, BE A KID! This is the best time of your life, have fun, enjoy life... if you want something to do, ask your parents if you can join an athletic team, cheerleading, or volunteer.
While volunteering may not pay, you can talk to your mom and dad about volunteering at a variety of places. Places which young people generally enjoy are the Human Society or their local libraries.

Good for you! Try to think of something that people hate to do (pull weeds in the garden, water flowers, pick up dog poop, etc.) and go with that. Perhaps you can advertise on the community boards at your local market. Maybe 11 is too young for unaccompanied baby sitting, but maybe you could be a junior assistant to an older sitter, or watch kids when parents are home at a discounted rate. You may not make much at first but, to be honest, the older you get the more your work ethic will come in handy. Work history is a great thing to have and will make you valuable indeed! Also-just a thought- maybe posting you email address is not such a good idea. Best of luck and above all, be safe!

ya mean iMpossible.
and no, its not impossible..BUT animals are different from children. some animals are uncomfortable with strangers. and sometimes...when their owners are not a home...and a strange person is in their house they get confused and scared. i think an adult should be the one taking care of an animal for a friend or neighbor and not a young adolescent or child.
i personally would never allow someone that age watch my 4 dogs. i would be more concerned with the persons maturity level, judgment and of course...i wouldn't want anything to happen to a child that age (even though i know my dogs would never hurt a child, as they all LOVE children).
i have three kids, my oldest is 10 almost 11...i wouldn't let him take care of a friend or neighbors dog unsupervised at all!
as for babysitting. legally...a child in MY state must be at least 13 yrs old before THEY can be left unattended at home, so the possibility of you sitting for someone at age 11 is illegal where i am.
secondly. i would NEVER EVER EVER EVER let an 11 yr old watch my children. that is FAR to young. NO OFFENSE! but there are just things that someone of that age is NOT prepared for.

Try advertising for dog Walking. I'm a furry parent of 4 dogs, and with my job, I can't always give them the excersize they need, and I'm sure there are lots of owners that have the same problem. If you just walk the dog around the block a time or two, it give the dog excersize, you earn your cash and it doesn't take all day so you could have more clients, without the responsibility of the dog all day or for a long period of time. Personally, I don't trust my 11 year old dog walker to dog sit because he doesn't show up every day that I need him too. Stick to a schedule and be there when you say you will and you should be able to do it. To be fair, charge the owners $1.00 per day per dog. It lets you make money without breaking the owners to pay you.

There are many jobs u can do-
Cleaning, kitchenwork, packing, running errands, gardening, babysitting, newspaper delivery are some of the jobs available. These jobs will be posted in local newspapers and billboards.
A better option is to work from home on your computer - write articles, sell on eBay, make a website, take surveys.
In some cases, you may have to set up an account in your parents or guardians name, and ask them to pay you, after they get the money for your work. ANYONE from ANYWHERE in world can join!
More details are available at my profile, check it out!

You are opening yourself up for predators by giving your age and email address. Please ask your mom or dad if you should remove your address as it's not safe for you to have it here. I know your parents want you to follow safety rules. Don't give too much information about yourself as there are predators on line just waiting to seek you out and you are innocent and trusting. Actually you could be any age and sex because this is a web site and we cannot know about people we are answering questions for. If you want to babysit, get certified in CPR and more people will hire you. You might also not babysit kids under 4 years of age. Create some business cards on your computer for babysitting and to give out to responsible parents. Do not give them out to other people as they could lose them and your personal info would be out there for anybody to find. You must always let your parents know where you are and how long you will be there. There are places in communities that teach babysitting classes and that would also help you. If you know ahead of time you are going to babysit, go to the trouble to ask the parents what kind of books do the kids like to be read and maybe you could get your mom to take you to the library to check out some good kids' books to take to read to them. You could also make up a tote bag ahead of time with things you've cleared with your mom you could safely use with a child as young as 4, if that's the youngest you wish to sit for. Never talk to friends on the phone while they are gone. Do not eat their food unless they tell you what you may eat. Ask the parents what the routine is and keep them in their routine. Be assertive and tell them with confidence what you will charge. Know what they owe you when they return and ask one of the parents to walk or drive you home. Safety is the most important thing for you to learn. Also always lock the doors and don't open them for any reason after they are in from playing.

Depends where you live. In Canada, you have to be 12 to be legally allowed to stay home alone and 13 to babysit. Its 15 to get a normal sort of job. But you could pick berries, deliver newspapers and do odd jobs. Be careful of anyone who emails you about jobs. There are creepy people and I wouldn't trust them.

oh boy. honey i would wait till you are at least 13-14 yrs old before you decide to work. but you can ask your parents about doing volunteering work like at your local vet, shelter, or dog kennels. with doing this you will get enough experience in the pet world. i know you like animals but try it firstbefore you do it for real. good luck honey
