Oh, please! Have you no education? The Catholic Church even admitted that it was an error in translation and the original word meant 'poisoner'.The guys who did the translating for King James knew he was into the Inquisition, and twisted the verse to reflect the prevailing attitude of the times! Let me know if I've used words that are too big for you.

A law which makes witchcraft a capital crime, Exo_22:18. Witchcraft not only gives that honour to the devil which is due to God alone, but bids defiance to the divine Providence, wages war with God's government, and puts his work into the devil's hand, expecting him to do good and evil, and so making him indeed the god of this world; justly therefore was it punished with death, especially among a people that were blessed with a divine revelation, and cared for by divine Providence above any people under the sun. By our law, consulting, covenanting with, invocating, or employing, any evil spirit, to any intent whatsoever, and exercising any enchantment, charm, or sorcery, whereby hurt shall be done to any person whatsoever, is made felony, without benefit of clergy; also pretending to tell where goods lost or stolen may be found, or the like, is an iniquity punishable by the judge, and the second offence with death. The justice of our law herein is supported by the law of God recorded here.
Since you are not Jewish, did not live several thousand years ago with the Hebrew nation that left Egypt, and do not believe or revere God, it does not apply to you.

When the Lord returns, and not before.
What are you going to do with this one?
13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. (Lev 20:13)
This is Old Testament Levitical law. God also told his people to march into a foreign country and commit genocide and claim the land as their own. No one in the New Testament is ever told to do that.
When a woman caught in the act of adultery, requiring an immediate death sentence, was brought before the Lord Jesus Christ, he started writing in the sand, and one by one the accusers walked away. In the end he forgave her (as only God can do), and warned her to sin no more.
Sure, I'd like to rid our land of all these pagans and sodomites too. But the Bible says the weapons of our warfare are not carnal.
As far as preaching the Word and getting them saved is concerned, the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. The way to do it is with the sword of the Word of God. If you're saved yourself, take up your 1611 KJB and go for it.
If you "are" saved, then you'll catch the rapture (which should be any day now), and you'll get to return with the Lord in Revelation 19 and enjoy it all in its fiery glory.

Though i shoudln't waste my time i might as well educate you though im sure you wont get it. The meaning of "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" is directly refering to a, "practitioner of dark magics" according to the direct translation. Ahhh nothing like seeing an idiot using a peaceful religion like christianity to persecute. Good luck with that.

valcus43,
It is quite a thing to deal with. The Old Testament Law and the New Testament. When it comes to verses like that, I refer to when Jesus said, let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
As long as any of us are still alive, we can be a recipient of grace. I just gave advice to someone who was excommunicated and threatened by the group. Apparently they wanted to cast spells at him. There is a way out of that, but only through Salvation.

Funny how that is sandwiched in the middle of 16(enticing a maid means you marry her), 17 (if her pappy says no you pay the dowry) and 19, "and whoever lieth with a beast shall be put to death". strange set of verses.

EXODUS 22 18
18“You shall not permit a sorceress to live.
19“Whoever lies with an animal shall surely be put to death.
20“He who sacrifices to any god, except to the Lord only, he shall be utterly destroyed.
21“You shall neither mistreat a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
22“You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child. 23If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all to Me, I will surely hear their cry; 24and My wrath will become hot, and I will kill you with the sword; your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

I think it's SO COOL how religion and God and Jesus help us to feel better about our racism and homophobia and discrimination. Plus, Jesus is the reason for the shootin'. Amen brother! Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!
P.S. God told me to hate you.
