No. I can see why you're asking though.

Their last names are actually not "Hoon". In Korea, last names are put in front of the first name, so their last names would actually be "Joo" and "Kim", respectively.

But Koreans who live in the U.S. spell and put their names the American way, first names first, last names last. So if Joo Ji Hoon lived in the U.S., he would spell his name: Ji Hoon Joo. Likewise for Kim Jung Hoon.

You'll also probably see a lot of the same last names for Koreans. But that doesn't necessarily mean they're related. Kim, Lee, and Park are the three most common last names, about 30% of Korea has those last names. There aren't a large number of last names, so it's common to have the same last name as someone you're not related to.

Hope that helps~!

the family name is the first syllabol... in this case, Joo and Kim. Hoon is just part of their given names. So, if Joo Ji Hoon was a friend of yours, you would call him Ji-hoon, not Joo. My point is.... both names have 'hoon' in them, but that doesn't mean they are related.

Besides that, there are only a handful of family names that are used. Most people seem to be Kim or Park or Lee.
