Actually he didn't, and have you read the Quran??? Cause it isn't written in there.
Furthermore, he had 1 wife, whom he loved and during his whole time with her he never had any others. 11 years after the death of his first wife. He was commanded to marry the others. (At that time Having more than one wife wasn't that weird, although it is neither really practised nor promoted today. Although it does happen in some situations.
Stop being a hater, go get a copy of the Quran, or meet good PRACTISING muslims and get a clue.
Peace.

If you believe he was a spiritual man and a prophet, one could argue that he saw something in this child, a sort of spiritual love that allowed him to transcend the bindings of what humans call "right" and "wrong", and if you believe god put people on this earth for a reason, u must believe part of that reason is procreation, having many wives fulfills this biological obligation, and the idea that a person can have only one mate is simply a binding man has placed upon itself because it think that this is what is "right"

For knowing the correct reason why he married Aysha, you have to ask Mohammad. He did not bother to explain why he married her at that age, however Muslims of this day have been at their inventive best in defending the marriage.
For example they say the marraige was neccessary as it was important that her father (Abu Bakar) & his tribe become close to Mohammad. What they conveniently forget to mention is that Abu Bakar was, from the very beginning (much before the marraige) one of the staunchest supporters of Mohammad and one of the first muslims. Hence the marriage really did not make any difference to the relationship between Abu Bakar & Mohammad.
Further, just for the record, Mohammad had sex with her when she was 9 years old, as per Ayesha's own narration.

Mohammed married her whilst she grow to be 6 and had intercourse along with her whilst she grow to be 9. Her call grow to be Aisha and he or she tells her tale interior the Hadiths. Muslims will attempt to disclaim this however the information is sweet of their sacred texts. all the information factors that she grow to be 9 whilst Mohammed consummated the marriage. curiously, in Islam if a woman menstruates she is a woman consequently any guy could have intercourse along with her.

Why do you think he had multiple wives, and the young wife? Do you know that he was born in a sex freedom society more open than the west today but he never committed a sin? Do you know that he lived his first 25 years of age (the highest sexual desire period) single and pure? Do you know that he lived his second 25 years with only one wife, who was older than him, was a widow with children, but they loved each other very much and when she died he was already over fifty? It is after age fifty when he had multiple wives most of them were widows with children (does this look to you a sexual desire?). The young (9 year? old wife) was the daughter of his most close companion Abu Baker and she was engaged to unbeliever before him and Mohammad PBUH married her after she brook her engagement and only three years later. She was needed to carry the message for women and for all Muslims after his death and she did that perfectly for long time.
Do you know that Mohammad PBUH never filled his stomach before he went to sleep and he just used to sleep hungry? Do you know that his wives cook to him only once every 1 to 2 months and they lived with him most of the time eating only dates and drinking only water? Do you know that he used to fast most of the year and pray most of the nights? Do you know that he was the most generous person ever? Do you know that he was the cleanest man ever, used to wash his body several times a day, and brush his teeth and kept his clothes clean, even loved and used perfumes? Do you know that he was merciful even to animals? The list is long but it is fair to learn a little about a person before start bashing him.

It is not in the Qur'an it is in the Hadiths.
She was 6 when he married her, and 9 when they had sex.
I guess he just had a thing for pre-pubescent girls.
Whatever he did is OK, no matter what, because questioning his actions will make Allah mad and stuff I guess.

didn't he marry her at 6 but not consummate the marriage until 9?
i found it hard to believe, but if you google mohammad aisha (alternative spellings: a'isha, ayesha, aysha) there are whole bunches of sites, citing islamic holy books, attesting to this fact.
i couldn't figure it out either; i'd love to hear a good explanation too!

Business is business!
Mo married a near baby to unite two clans.
A man has more than one wife if he can afford more simply for the same reason he may own more cattle. BETTER PRODUCTION.
No too many men about because of tribal warfare.
It still continues today.
