I have a Mooslim brother who told me that the Bible says waves are caused by farts from whales like the one that swallowed Jonah (pbuh). Is he telling the truth or is this Islamic al-taqiyya?

Well, first, if he is Muslim he should probably stick to the Koran, because that is what Muslims tend to read. The Bible talks about a giant fish, but not a whale, swallowing Jonah. If he's that far off on this, maybe it would be best just to smile and nod when he says such things...he may not know any better, and since you love your brother you probably don't want to make too many waves (ha! pardon the pun).

The waves are a gravitational pull. Not a whale fart! The Bible does'nt mention the word fart!

NO. With all that oil money,we would think a bit

He's making up crap. The Bible says nothing of the sort. The waves are created by the moon's gravitational pull.
