God bless your cousin and all the men and women fighting for freedom in Iraq.
You are 100% right. The communist media is using their personal propaganda to make the US population believe their lies. The truth in Iraq is a thousand times more positive that what's being reported.
Back in WWII, those media outlets would have been shut down or their bosses imprisoned for sedition. Now, it's expected that the media cares only about their fame and fortune and not a lick for right or wrong.
Every solder in the US or coalition forces is a hero. Anyone who doubts that needs to open their minds and see the truth. If you want to believe the lame-stream media, then you are a fool, and should not be allowed to vote, since you are already a tool of the enemy.
God bless the US military.

I talk to returning soldiers almost every week, I live near Ft. Lewis, Washington. 90% or more say that what they are doing in Iraq and Afghanistan have made it better and that they are glad that they went. Yes they are glad that they made it back in one piece. Most of them are upset by the stuff that is printed and put on the t.v. that it is not funny. They all ask why the media does not report the things that are going good in both places just the bad. I tell them that when you do good things no one wants to know about it but rather those 5% or less that does the bad.
It reminds me of the same thing that gets reported by teenagers.........the 5% or less that causes all the trouble is put out but when the majority that does good nothing is said.
Being a minister for over 20 years I see this all the time.
I tell both that most are proud of the good things that were and are being done you both groups and that they just need to keep doing it and saying that the media is wrong in what they report!

As a U.S. Soldier (one of a SLIGHT FEW HERE IT WOULD SEEM THAT THEN WOULD KNOW WHAT THE **** IT IS THEIR TALKING ABOUT) I could care less what the American people think about us in general. Maybe you should be asking the average Soldier what he thinks about the American population at large. Most of us have more respect for the Iraqi people than the American's anyway. Let's see they go out and vote under threat of death and still 80% of their population turns out. How many American get off their fat lazy asses and go vote at the polls? Heaven forbid they miss American Idol to actually pick those who will be in charge of their government for 4 years but yet they will whine, ***** and moan when said government does something they don't like.
The Iraqi's have their houses blown up on a daily basis and they go right back and rebuild WITH OUT government help. Let the same thing happen to America's gulf coast and all the lazy bastards in New Orleans can do is ***** and moan about where is our government handouts, why aren't we getting help, why aren't folks rebuilding for us etc. Want your lives back then take an ACTIVE approach in rebuilding yourselves.
Finally the insurgents, everyday we wipe out hundreds of them, but they keep coming even though they know they are losing they fight to the death. America loses barely 2,500 and all we hear is "we are losing the war, we have lost too many Soldiers, we must pull out, we are stuck in a quagmire etc etc etc.
So in effect, me and my fellow Soldiers are increasingly more appreciative of the Iraqi's and WHAT THEY think of us, than we will EVER BE of what a bunch of fat, self centered, materialistic, liberalized American assh*les think of us.

The professional soldier learns to sift through the drivel of the press....and ignore 99 percent of it. The President is not going to let the Iraqis or his servicemen and women down.

I am in Iraq right now. Probably wasting my precious time on the computer to respond to this. is our morale low here. No. HELL NO. Do we all want to be here. Again hell no. Do we hate the media and all their bullcrap they lie about or twist to fit their purpose? Hell YEAH. I am an Air Force Combat Photographer. My squadron and I roll with the Army to document the missions here. I see a lot of young kids who may not make it back from the patrol we are about to roll on. I see kids who don't have to shave every day because thier beards aren't fully in but they are leaders of other men and they do it with such passion and professionalism it makes me pround to serve with them. You have peole like this Rense, who need to sit back with a strong hot steaming cup of "Shut the F**K up" until they are here in my boots seeing what I see every day. Doing what we do every day. So many people bash what we are here to do and our country. It makes us all sick. Do all of us here think this war is right? No but we are here taking the fight to these bass-turds on THEIR streets, not back home. While every one back home in the States sit down to supper tonight me and my Army Brothers will be rolling on another patrol, down the same road we have had IEDs blow up in our faces before, where we get shot at, where we have seen our brothers die. But you know what. Our Morale is fine. Through all the crap we suffer through the only complaints I hear are, Dam it's hot " or "hey, wheres the COLD water?" No of uswants to be here but to people like you we appreciate your thoughts and prayers and understanding. The the rest of the liberal schmuck bags, YOU"RE WELCOME FOR THE RIGHT TO BASH US, OUR PRESIDENT and OUR MISSION. Before you go to sleep tonight you should thank whatever God you pray to that we ARE here and taking this fight to them here and not in YOUR front yard.

My husband and father are actually in the military and been to the desert. Believe it or not they don't necessary believe in the war. Of course they are going to perform their duties to the best of their ability but they disagree with how far this war has gone. How can we successfully rebuild Iraq when half the people want us there and the other half don't?

My Hubby is in Iraq now,his 4th Deployment. He tells me all the time guys at his base are so ready to leave. They are done there. Schools are rebuilding,Towns are getting fresh water, and they have killed so many terrorist cells it is awesome! He is a SFC and let me say he did say Morale is low,and time is up there. We have done what we can....
All the way through it says "him" but don't forget "Her" too....
Your alarm goes off; you hit the snooze and sleep for another 10 minutes.
He stays up for days on end.
-- --
You take a warm shower to help you wake up.
He goes days or weeks without running water.
-- --
You complain of a "headache", and call in sick.
He gets shot at, as others are hit, and keeps moving forward.
-- --
You put on your anti war/"don't support the troops" shirt, and go meet up with your friends.
He still fights for your right to wear that shirt.
-- --
You make sure your cell phone is in your pocket.
He clutches the cross hanging on his chain next to his dog tags.
-- --
You talk trash on your "buddies" that aren't with you.
He knows he may not see some of his buddies again.
-- --
You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls.
He walks the streets, searching for insurgents and terrorists.
-- --
You complain about how hot it is.
He wears his heavy gear, not daring to take off his helmet to wipe his brow.
-- --
You go out to lunch, and complain because the restaurant got your order wrong.
He does not get to eat today.
-- --
Your maid makes your bed and washes your clothes.
He wears the same things for months, but makes sure his weapons are clean.
-- --
You go to the mall and get your hair redone.
He doesn't have time to brush his teeth today.
-- --
You are angry because your class ran 5 minutes over.
He is told he will be held an extra 2 months.
----
You call your girlfriend and set a date for that night.
He waits for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.
-- --
You hug and kiss your girlfriend, like you do everyday.
He holds his letter close and smells his love's perfume.
-- --
You roll your eyes as a baby cries.
He gets a letter with pictures of his new child, and wonders if they'll ever meet.
-- --
You criticize your government, and say that war never solves anything.
He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own government and remembers why he is fighting.
-- --
You hear the jokes about the war, and make fun of the men like him.
He hears the gun fire and bombs.
-- --
You see only what the media wants you to see.
He sees the bodies lying around him.
-- --
You are asked to go to the store by your parents. You don't.
He does what he is told.
-- --
You stay at home and watch TV.
He takes whatever time he is given to call and write home, sleep, and eat.
-- --
You crawl into your bed, with down pillows, and try to get comfortable.
He crawls under a tank for shade and a 5 minute nap, only to be woken by gun fire.
-- --
You sit there and judge him, saying the world is a worse place because of men like him. If only there were more men like him

Hell yes it lowers morale.
Think about it. Let's tell them that what they are doing is worthless and won't amount to anything, or telling them that they themselves are worthless, and they are nothing but murderers and torturers. How about if we tell them that nobody believes in what they are doing? How about if we tell them that nobody wants to have anything to do with them, what they are doing, or why they are doing it?
Sounds to me like mental abuse, and people are put in jail for this if it's done to a child or spouse. But the media and liberals can do this to our service members DAILY and it's free speech.
Lovely.

If you support this president remove the Support the Troops stickers from your cars, and the symbolic yellow ribbons from your front doors those symbols are meant to represent care and concern for our military, both in battle and upon their return. This president, and his Administration, and his fellow Republican Party members, have placed our troops in harm's way for a lie, and have ignored their safety and well being at every turn. They have initiated policies that gut veteran's benefits and pensions. They have sent troops into combat without the basic equipment to protect themselves, and ignored the consequences of placing the battle-fatigued, the sick, the psychologically and emotionally damaged on the front lines. They have handed the tax dollars meant to feed, equip and house our forces over to Administration cronies, who devote mere pennies to the needs of our fighting men and women. If you support those kinds of polices and the people who promote them for their own political and financial gain, you do not support the troops. On the contrary, you speed their demise. Pretending to support the very troops you dishoner is not only hypocritical, it is an insult to their sacrifice. ....Furthermore the story about your sister is just that! You are not patroits, that's for sure!
