I'm an individual with serious sinus/ear pressure problems. The only way I am able to make it thru takeoff and landing on a plane is to swallow water continuously.

I know I won't be permitted to take any liquids past the security checkpoint.

However, once I'm in the terminal (and cleared thru security), will I be able to purchase a bottle of water at one of the restaurants and bring it on board?

Or will they search us again for liquids while we're waiting to board?

If that's the case, I'll have to plead with the flight attendant for water immediately when I board the aircraft.

You can drink up to security screening, then chuck the bottle.
After security check, you can purchase water (or drink tap water) in the waiting area. You can't take any water bottles from here on board. Once on board, you can ask the attendant for water. Explain that you have a medical condition that requires your drinking during take off and landing, the attendant should be able to assist.

If you feel strongly, call the airline and make arrangements in advance of your flight.

Good luck!

Once you're through check-in and are 'airside' you can buy water (and other stuff) from the shop but you can't take it on board the plane.

The airlines are aware of the problems and have extra bottles of water on board - just ask for one when you get on the plane.

They have water on board, don't worry...the security check won't let you go with water in your posession, so it's better to rely on the hostess, she will be kind, I'm sure, and will give you water before take-off.
They usually serve caramels or bombons on board, before taking-off, it is for forcing you to swallow and handle the pressure better.

Just go to the shops and ask them once you get through the normal security checks of bag screening etc.

Thats when you get to where all the glorious shops are :).
