i was wacthing nightline about sexual preditors,why are old nasty men so into little kids, i think its disgusting cant they get someone their own age if they tried? Why are there so many pedohiles now days?

I believe it's the internet. There's so much porn out here, easy access. And alot of those girls look young, claiming to be young of age. People get to see any fantasy they wish to visualize and some end up acting on it. It's gross.

Despite what the twit at No. 1 said, 98.5% of pedophiles are not only considered by their familes and communities to be hetrosexual, they actually consider themselves to be hetrosexual. There are massive (and I mean thousands) of psychological studies of sexual deviants. Results are always the same. The medical community has come to the conclusion that despite the myth, homosexual people just aren't pedophiles. I did a huge amount of research into this for a project.
As for why there are so many these days, there were always this many - people just never talked about it! It not only carried a huge stigma, many times the victims weren't believed or they were simply ignored (or even sometimes blamed for it!). Sex crimes are far more freely talked about and the more its openly discussed, the less of a stigma it has. The less of a stigma it has, the more people are going to come out with the stories. Its a cycle.

They have always been around but you can thank the media for bringing to our attention. it is a huge problem and the government needs to pass tougher laws and not let the animals plea bargain their way out of it. They all should have ankle bracelets and everyone should know who and where they are, regardless of the extent of the crime.

I don't think you are going to like my answer. I think it is because, in spite of the hype, there are enough people who fail to distinguish between selling a little bud to feed your kids, and selling your kids to feed your crack (or white powder) habit. I think their parents fairly literally sell them. Or at least rent them out. This then feeds the idea that anything is OK for a price, and we go waaaaay down hill from there.

the country is becoming very liberal, with the "anything goes" sort of thinking. People today don't know of having dignity and honor so they go with there thoughts rather than control them.
