this is from mr einstein. does this mean tha everything happens for a reason and not by chance?

He was initially referring to quantum mechanics.

This can be interpreted as saying that the world is NOT like a dice game. In otherwords, that just because we don't understand something doesn't mean that there is not a perfectly reasonable, scientific cause for something.

When we bet on dice or a roulette wheel, we do not know where the dice or wheel will land but we know that there are scientific reasons and factors for why and how it lands where it does. It's simply a matter on gaining that knowledge.

So really, his quote is saying that every event that occurs is caused by another event.

Something like that. I believe Einstein meant that God does everything for a reason and nothing that happens is by chance or luck.

As per Einstien, there is reason behind everything that happens. And he considers that collective reason as God. God resides in everything around us in the form of the rules that nature has defined in itself.
