at what retail store. checked walmart/target/walgreens. not at these 3.

Most drug stores or supermarkets sell a sort of "dental pick" right by the toothbrushes and dental floss. Be careful... The stores you checked must have just been sold out, because I think I've seen them in WalMart and certainly Walgreens.

I would check Target, Wal-mart, Kmart and the such first since these might have the lowest price. If not, then most Pharmacies should carry some type of pick. You can always call your dentist and see what they recommend.

You generally can't buy them in retail stores because they are professional equipment. You may be able to find them at a medical/dentistry supply store.
