Tell her you think you are ready to become sexually active, and you want to have a baby. After she flips out, compromise and say you'll take a dog instead. I bet a puppy would sound pretty good to her after that!
Or, if you are young, carry around a stuffed animal to make her feel guilty. Bring it to breakfast with you, put out bowls of water for it, drag it down the street on a leash for a "walk." Tell her that one day, Fluffy will become a real dog if you just pray hard enough. Of course, you can do this all jokingly. She'll get the picture.

You don't get your mom to get you anything.
You ask your mom politely.
A dog is a major responsibility and a full time job. You have to walk the dog in all types of weather, clean up its messes, brush it, feed it, give it water, teach it how to walk on a leash, brush its teeth, take it to a vet, make sure the needles are up to date, teach it tricks and love it. Are you ready to do all this?

how old are you?
you are her child, you can't "make" your mom do anything. perhaps your mom doesn't think you are ready for the responsibility of a dog. do you know HOW to care for a dog? it takes money.....they are cute and fun, but a HUGE responsibility.

A dog is a huge responsibility and if your mother feels you cannot handle the responsibility, then nothing will make her change her mind

Tell her that you will be responsible . You'll bath, feed, play with the dog, groom it, and all the other things. But if you are not responsible I suggest you get a cat, they can take care of themselves.

Depends for most parents try to understand that if there's no space or your mom or someone is allergic and you cant get it,theres nothing you can do about.Try to talk to her calmy and reasonably and see if you can decide on something.If not try for something less hassling like a hamster or such.

Really what you have to do is show her responsibility. Show her that you will take care of the pet. That may be why she is waiting. Maybe start by getting a fish and taking care of it. Or maybe just be responsible by taking out the trash when needed and cleaning your room.

You don't! It has to be something that she wants an added expense for. Dogs can be as expensive as raising a child, especially if there's expensive vet bills involved.
