do something you enjoy to get it out of your head less often. spend time with your friends, they'll help ease what you were missing. do something fun!

Devote yourself to something else. Throw all of your time, energy, and attention into learning a new hobby, or getting into shape, or becoming closer to your mom or dad or a friend, or taking a class. Reaching out to help someone else is also a very good heart healer.

Get distracted as much as you can, stay active. If you stay home you're likely to dwell on the pain. Also get lots of emotional support from family and friends.
