That's your problem... heart does not have any eyes... therefore you are the blind.
Be evolved, learn science!

(First, read and evaluate the answers of those who already wrote. Who talks with love and hope, and who is skeptical and negative, the believer or the unbeliever?)
The unbelieving person can only believe things that they see with their eyes, (and that they don't even trust half the time). An atheist may claim to be spiritual, but they are blind to the spirit world as WE know it. Only those who have access to that world know this. There is a whole world far richer and deeper out there than they can see. And it is the driving force behind their world.
The natural world is merely a physical manifestation of the spiritual. Science is not a contradiction to God. It is merely man's attempt to try and explain what God has done.
There is so much yet unknown and undiscovered by man, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Truth is, truths exist all around us. But belief comes before truth. Someone had to believe the earth was round before it was proven. And they believed it with all their heart.
Inspiration and revelation are things seen with spiritual eyes, things that come from the heart. And belief comes from a pure heart, one that is not filled with pride, fear, or selfishness. A pure heart, just like yours.

It's not that atheists are blind to the spiritual world but just simply that they don't want to get into the "religion" thing.
It's not just christians that run around beating people over the head constantly trying to impose their beliefs on others but every religion in general has been the cause of numerous wars and witch hunts which result in unnecessary deaths. Hey! Believe what you want but stop proselytizing your beliefs! I hate having to get up early on saturday mornings to answer the door for "jehovahs witness". I get perturbed when approached in the parking lot by reborn christians asking me if I'm saved. It irritates me when muslims try to push the koran and muhammed on me. I don't want to become a mormon. I just want to be left alone to enjoy my own "Spirituality"! Get the picture? If you are so secure in your beliefs then leave everyone else alone.
BACK OFF!

I am a christian, and I believe atheists may be blinded by the devil. Any body can talk themselves into not believe in God, or some other spiritual world that your talking about. God is there, and if you really take the time to look, you'll see him. You must have a really good relationship with him. Don't worry, the mute will sing, the blind will see, the sick will be healed.

Not all are, but yes most people deny the existence of a spiritual world because of a control issue. Most (science) folks like to assume they have 100% control of their lives, the existence of a spiritual world totally blows that theory out of the water...They can not handle the idea of life after death...but they can and never will be to explain a thing called love...They just don't get what being human is all about!!

Every person sees the world differently, uniquely, through experiences and imagination, perceptions and their own set of reality. No one sees life exactly the same. Sometimes people share a common bond, but even then it is viewed through eyes that are not purely objective. What you perceive as truth, they may perceive as a guess or a non-truth, and vice versa. That is part of life! We all make up a kaleidoscope of living beings, it would be dull without the differences, including what to believe or not believe based on your feelings (or heart if you will). What really needs to be learned is tolerance and compassion regardless of what another feels is correct - and that goes for all sides of the issue.

Stillson8 said it best "Atheists see and feel the same things you do. Only they attribute their sights and feelings to something else that comes from within themselves."
I search for the answers within, and believe me, that is a deeply spiritual experience. Try getting in touch with the most naked you, the one locked deep inside, and see what kind of feelings you have. There certainly is a spiritual realm, but you have to come to it from the inside and it can only make sense in your own words - not those of a preacher or nun or supreme being. The truth is only inside.

I'm not an atheist, but what you are claiming is all based on emotion and a false hope of something that is unknowable. You just make yourself look ridiculous. Those are typical words of newly scammed fanatics. Oh, your heart is a blood pump, not an organ for sight.

I can't say this is the answer for all atheists, but for me it's true: I want so desperately "God" to exist, and I pray to him/her/it every day, but something deep inside of me keeps me from letting the darkest part of my soul believe. But to answer your question, maybe some people are just born blind :(

Anyone who doesnt acknowledge that Christ is Lord and God raised Him from the dead, as Christ open up the eyes of the blind, will always walk in spiritual blindness.

Many atheists have been of various religions - then found some dissatisfaction within theirs. Others grew up never knowing any religion, and are keeping that tradition. Some are scientists, and believe everything that exists must be proven.
Sorry if you are heartbroken about this, but this is what free-will is all about.
