It all depends in what context I guess... but street talk. Crank is usually known as a drug called crystal meth. and crack is an unpure (cheaper) form of cocaine-- cocaine mixed with baking soda.
Stay away from drugs... and always remember "crack is whack!"

A crank is a bent portion of an axle, or shaft, or an arm keyed at right angles to the end of a shaft, by which motion is imparted to or received from it; also used to change circular into reciprocating motion, or reciprocating into circular motion. Familiar examples of a crank for manual use include the crank on a manual pencil sharpener and the crankset that drives a bicycle via the pedals.
Cranks were formerly common on some machines in the early 20th century; for example almost all phonographs before the 1930s were powered by clockwork motors wound with cranks, and internal combustion engines of automobiles were usually started with cranks before electric starters came into general use.
As a verb, to crack or cracking means "to break or snap apart". The corresponding noun, crack, means a fissure, fracture, or flaw in a solid material resulting from cracking. For a technical article on this topic, see Fracture mechanics.

crank is METHAMPHETAMINE, ice, speed, crystal -- from the crystalline form of pure methamphetamine, crystal Meth', gak, go fast, jenny crank. poop, ****, shards, tweak, or twack~ methamphetamine is highly psychologically addictive. large doses of methamphetamine can result in a strong feeling of euphoria at the expense of physical fatigue and a strong "come-down" as the drug's effect wears off.
crack is: Coc-H+Cl– + NaHCO3 â Coc + H2O + CO2 + NaCl. a crudely freebased (purified) form of cocaine. in the u.s., the development of "crack" cocaine introduced the substance to a generally poorer inner-city market. use of the powder form has stayed relatively constant, experiencing a new height of use during the late 1990s and early 2000s in the u.s., and has become much more popular in the last few years in the UK.
both are illegal drugs, controlled substances, while crank is psychologically addictive, crack is physically addictive.
both are bad for you and you should not use them.

Crack is the freebase form of cocaine. When smoked, the user will usually experience extreme euphoria. The high you get from crack is short lived. Soon the user will display paranoia, depression, and intense cravings for more crack. ..crack is one of the most addictive drugs in the world.

I don't know what crank is, but crack is a substitute for cocaine. Usually known as rocks, stones, boulders etc. If you purchased either one, you could end up dead somewhere, reason being you never know what your getting. Both are "******" up.
