There is no surefire way, I'm afraid.
As the first two people said, always be yourself.
It will save you a great deal of energy and heartache. Your self-esteem will not suffer. And... the *right* boy will like you for it. (How will the right boy ever know you, unless you reveal your true self? And would you want someone to like something you pretend to be?)
On top of that, just be friendly, and show your interest in him.
