Seems like we keep going in circles on this question.

Women are not allowed in Combat Arms. With exceptions like pilots and support roles as pointed out by other answerers.

Without going into the physiological and psychological makeup of why most women are not capable of the task, which seems to be a great answering point of most there are a few other reasons.

Our country does not use women in these roles because of how it looks. Call it Political Correctness if you want, whatever. As such we also do not draft women for the Armed Services either. I know that there is no draft right now but they don't sign up for selective service right now, same thing.

Two examples I have used to answer this question with in the past is.

In many parts of the world, especially places where we are doing a lot of fighting, men rule the roost. If you had a women in a group of men that were supposed to be fighters, it would draw attention to you. Not a good thing if you are trying to blend in.

The environments that these men work in are not the cleanest of places. When you are in a hide for days or weeks at a time, there is no place to clean up properly. If you are spending a lot of time emerged in water (dirty water, feces infested water) the things that make women what they are can and will get infected, making you a casualty, thereby ruining the mission.

Anyway, it would be cheap to give our men and women any less than they deserve and cause them to needlessly die just because it was unfair treatment to not let the women get to play tough guy just to prove a point.

The reason girls can not go into the NAVY SEALS is because of the training. For one thing you would never make HELL WEEK. They put you in the water and you stay there for a long time, and its cold. You stay wet most of the day. You go with out sleep. If you fall be hind they get on your back. When you do some thing wrong they get right in your face and tell you about it. There are just some things a girl should not do and being a NAVY SEAL is one of them. It is a demanding job, you have to want it. One thing you should know if you cry you are out. I am not saying that because you are girl you can not be a SEAL its just that this one one Job in the military that calls for men only. Take my word it is one job you would not like. If you ever go into the NAVY there are a lot of good jobs for women, but being a G I JANE is not one of them. The movie was not the true thing, if she was to go through SEAL training she would have gotten her - - - kicked, you can take my word on the. The training is heard, and you have to want it 24 hours a day. I hope I help you with this.

There's more to the issue than simply being able to do it, which is exceptionally rare for men, let alone women. The fact is that we live in a society where men are conditioned to look at women as something to be protected and cared for, not as an equal comrade. Especially the macho men that go into special forces. To have a woman as part of the team would create an unacceptable distraction to the men. The men have to be able to relate to their partners on a certain level that just can't exist with a woman. This isn't going to change until society progresses further towards egalitarianism.

Federal regulation prohibits women folk from being assigned to a wrestle place, or interest. The Seal software is the army's elite particular forces, and all the "jobs" interior the Seal software is wrestle proper. Over and above that, the coaching is practically the main extreme, and grueling coaching of any interior the international. The attrition fee runs from 70% up. the female physique in basic terms isn't outfitted for the actual coaching required and in contact.

Because, for the most part (I would say 99.8% of women), cannot meet the physical requirements. Yes, there are very few that can. But for the most part, the people who run Special Operations, will not lower the physical requirements (and rightfully so), to accommodate females in any of the Special Operations training. Yes, there are many women that can meet the academic and mental challenges, but not the physical. I do know that Special Operations do use women at times, but only in extremely rare cases.

Wasn't that movie starring Demi Moore and the guy from LOTR, in that movie called GI JANE, and wasn't she trying out to be a Navy Seals? Was that a true story? But I agree that women cannot physically do as much as men, and I'm a women saying this!! But men and women are built much differently. Women bear children, men can't because they're bodies wouldn't be able to handle that stress, but our bodies wouldn't be able to handle the physical stress men can handle, just in different ways.

I think, in addition to the valid points raised by other answerer's, that having women in a unit would add unnecessary stress and tension, due to the fact that show a pair of legs + boobs + an *** to those guys, and tension is going to run high. This is not the fault of the ladies, but a fact.

for our country i think it is a polotical thing ppl are not ready to see their mommas and sisters out there doing heavy duty grunt work and getting hurt, although they can be truck drivers in the army and sent to war and still get killed, then there is just the mental thinking of most americans were they just dont think women can do it, but they do have women in special forces in other countires like china and russia, but honestly I dont think there are a lot of american women that could hack it, and I am an american woman who thinks we should get the same chance to try as any man but i just dont think there would be a lot of women who pass. because honestly there are not a lot of men who do pass it the drop out rate of those classes are HIGH. and basically it is because boys grow up with gi joes and girls grow up with barbies and even if you were a girl who grew up with gi joes you were still treated different girls are treated different than boys in most cases it is just how our society is. i could rattle on forever but you get my drift
