Sounds like the two of you have some kind of sixth sensory connection, in a subconscious way. Cool! I've never heard of such a thing before, but who's to say it can't happen! Obviously it is...

Sorry, it's not happening.
One of you is trying to impress the other, or your relating very general commonalities as "exact" and fooling yourselves.
Here's a test. Without consulting each other, write down your dreams, in detail. Each of you should include as much detail as you can, such as what color the curtains were on the window, or what you saw on a table. Then get together. Just ask generally what dreams you each had that night. If you hit on something similar, you each start asking specific questions from your log, like "what color was the curtains?" (Not "Were the curtains blue?"), etc. Score each for exact similarity. See if you get any significant percentage correct.
First you'll find that you don't dream the same things even generally (of course, one of you already knows that). Second, you'll find that even dreams with similar themes are suddenly less common than you've allowed yourselves to realize.
If, after that, you still believe that you share identical dreams, you better contact "The Amazing Randy", who heads an organization that will give you a serious amount of cash if you can prove that you truly have a psychic connection. I'm talking over a million dollars. And I won't even request a finder's fee.

I have had this experiance before a few times. Dreams can be a review of events that have happened durning the day, or of things you have been concerned about. If you have a similar mind set to a person, and are both enganged in similar activities or have similar concerns then it would not be unreasonable to have simliar dreams. I have had dreams which have matched those of family members, about things like going off to camp, or having my hair cut (I have long hair), or marring a certian girl. Also empathy can play a role here, most of my family are highly empathic adn so we can understand and relate to each other on a very high level. (Empthy is feeling the emotion of another, understand that emotion, its cause and effect.) Studies have been done where empathic people have had their brain patteren observed when speaking with people in emotional states, the studies showed that the empathic's persons brain had the same patterns in the places where the emotions person emotions were based. That means that the empathic person was literaly feeling what the other person emotions. If you are empathic towards someone, this might cause similar dreams. Beyond this I think it would depend upon your personal philosphy as to what it means.

This happened to me once with my wife and a friend of ours - in other words, all three of us dreamt about the same thing on the same night. But I don't think it really means much - they are just dreams, subconscious activity regarding "unfinished business" from waking life. It may be that we had been talking about certain things and all happened to carry it over into dreamland.
As for you and your boyfriend, I don't know what to make of it, since you hadn't even met each other yet. But maybe you had similar things going on in your lives, or were friends with some of the same people and so talked about and thought about similar things.
Don't place too much importance on dreams. Real life is what counts!

No, but I was watching the soap a couple of months ago and two of the characters both the same vision. One of the character's brother died from a car accident and while they were in the hospital because the other one's daughter was real sick and while they were sleeping, they had the same dream that the brother told them everything would be ok and one of them thinks it's a sign they belong together. They also used to be sweethearts in high school but things got weird and she marrird someone else and the guy also married to the friend. Now they are feeling regrets, although she is and not him.The bad part is that the daughter is both of theirs. Their names are Belle and Shawn. their daughter is Claire and they both slept together but it was because they were caught in a storm and Shawn was warming up Belle. Now Belle knows that Claire is not her husband's but her's and Shawn's.
Thought I'd share that with you. I don't know if you watch Days of Our Lives.

This has happened to me a few times with a friend. This morning in fact. As I awoke from a dream with them in it. They sent me a text telling me about the dream. Why it happens, I don't know. I'm searching for answers too.

Interpret Your Dreams on this site all the meanings without having to look them up never mind the...Title...of the web-site. http://www.freakydreams.com/ because Good Dreams also can be Interpreted.
Dreaming is a place of possibility and creation, a land of futures that might come and pasts that never were. It is also a land of nightmares.
It constantly changes as people fall asleep and shape parts of it, then wake up and their dreams dissolve back into mist. A dreams dictionary always helps ( for other descriptions needed ). http://myjellybean.com/dream/pagey.html
Did you know you can make yourself dream anything its called...Lucid Dreaming which this site will explains along with some other questions about dreaming. http://www.dreams.ca/

Many times in my family. it is either two of my sister, one of them and myself or one of us and our mother. There was even a time when all 5 of us had the same dream on the same night as our mother. We all have memories of it from our point of view and they all add up. I do not know what it means.
