My mom uses ketchup, a little sugar and a little mustard, and some onions.. I guess relish could work instead of onions. You might have to experiment with the amount of ingredients. Cook the meat all the way first and then throw a little bit of the ingredients and mix and keep tasting it. Of course cook it a little after throwing the stuff in. It actually always tasted better reheated I guess because the meat marinates in the sauce or something. You could try looking it up online too for suggestions. Good luck!

first the ground beef should be cooked with a metal spatula so you can continue "cutting" as you cook to make the peices really small.

Add a really good Smokey BBQ sause and a real small can or half a can of tomato paste. chopped onion, diced garlic. no salt as that is in the BBQ sause.

Just brown your meat, add 2 bottles of barbecue sauce. It makes a really good sloppy joe! It's almost like barbecued beef.

Is this a question? We usually just buy the sauce.

You could add garlic powder or chopped onion to the mix. I don't think relish works. You want spicy, not sour.
