I usually lay down with a wet washcloth that I put in the freezer on my forehead. No lights, no noise

I suffer from Migraines so I can relate to a really bad headache. (Had them all my life)... while I take an Rx for those particular headaches, I also use a rub like Bengay or even a Vapor-rub ointlment on my head to make it ease the pain. If the pain is severe, mostly recurrent on one side of your head, it could be a migraine. Headaches in any form are awful.... Ibu, Advil... they may all be helpful depending on how severe.
With my migraines, I have to snuff out all the lights, not move much (as I get sick - nauseous), and try to sleep it off with help from Imitrex.

See a doctor. If the headache is migraine, there are new treatments for it which are reputed to work well. If not, get a small prescription for an opiate and see if that helps. I use a tiny dose (2 mg) of morphine sulfate on the rare occasions that I have a significant pain.

I always get bad headaches and the docs say to exercise you neck by getting something warm and putting it on your neck and then turning it from one side and hold it and then the other and then you chin to your chest and hold and then look up and hold for about 10 secs. each. This exercise works best when you are taking a nice hot shower. You could also use a warm towel on the back of neck and try the exercise. Hope this helps.

If it is the worst headache of your life, and/or you have vertigo (dizziness) or nausea (you feel like you're going to hurl) call the doctor or have someone take you to the nearest emergency room.
When I get a bad headache, I take some Tylenol, drink a lot of water, and crash.

If you are not up for taking medicine. I think you can alleviate the pain by massaging your neck and shoulder.
Deep breath and relaxation helps too. But if the pain becomes unbearable, I suggest you take some medicine.
My GF always has bad migraine. I give her a back rub to make it better. Seems to work.
Good Luck ;)

Depends on your age and duration of Headahe. If your headache do not tend to go away with over the counter meds or they occur frequently then you should check with an Internist!

Go to the drugstore and get migraine pills. If the headache continues and won't go away, see your doctor.

Maybe this will help
"Stir 1 teaspoon of lavender leaves to a cup of boiling water, cool and drink 3 times daily. "
