from the San Jose in CA, I'd say about 5-6 hours non stop

depending on time of year 4.5 to 5.5hrs eastbound add an hour for wesbound flights. The reason being the jet stream moves in the opposite direction of planetary rotation or West to East and often in winter it resides at the latitude you are flying at so you wind up with a high velocity tail wind, going east to west the jet stream becomes a head wind.
