North Carolina has a huge population of illegals...and North Carolina issues all drivers licenses...is this right...VA doesn't do it, or many other states...

In my opinion, it is not right. I believe in immigration and believe states should support legal immigrants....

but NC handing out drivers licenses like candy...this is so wrong...not to mention NC business accepting stolen SSN's to hire....

It is so wrong.....or am I wrong...?

yuck...my question sounded like I was a politician....let me make it clear....

I do not like illegals coming in, stealing SSN's, getting licensed through a faulty system....I do not appreciate the high population of illegals in NC.

I will vote on all levels for the person that best represents the opinion I feel....to change the outlook for NC as a whole...

Yeah, it is wrong. In fact the 9/11 Families for a Secure America just brought suit against Maryland on a similar issue and got the law there delayed until after the REAL ID requirements (prohibiting illegals from having drivers licenses) go into effect.

It is a national security nightmare.

It is weird thats ome states allow illegals to get D.L., I dont understand how..I had to show like 3 different IDs to prove who I was and that I was a US Citizen

as fara s the counterfiet SSN cards, there is a great database that the Border Patrol and Customs use to trak this, but unfortunately police do not have access to it, or even understand what it would tell them, all law enforcement agency should at least have a few guys trained in this area. It is very rare that the inner states even check to see if people are illegal when they are arrested, again they do not have anyway of checking, orthe authoriy to doso

As part of the Iraq budget bill for next year, congress inclluded at least two lines

1) they appropriated 1.8 million for a fence with Mexico
2) they made it law to get a license you must be a citizen

there is a case that I don't have my hands on right now where an anti-immigration group is suing a state for giving out licenses to illegals, but it's been put on hold for 7 months.

And how many of these licensed illegals do you think have insurance? The state should get sued for every accident caused by an illegal.

It's dead wrong, they are traitors, or their afraid of the ACLU, they have filed a law suite against Hazelton PA. for the laws they set into action, but they said they are going to fight the ACLU until their last breath.

No, you're not wrong. But your opinions will be better regarded when you write to your legislator to complain about it. They are voted to represent their constituents-you. I also believe that welfare benefits should not be given to them.
