And another important second point, if so, and Noah was white, why do we discriminate against black people who just developed more pigment in their skin over the years while in Africa? Blacks and whites are related and we all come from the same caucasian Noah. Then why be racist if we are all the same race after all?

I didn't mean to say he was definitely white. But he was definitely only one color. Let's say he was black then. So still why is there racism?

Yes, all of humanity is related through their common ancestor Noah.

Even without the global flood, humankind still has common ancestors in Adam and Eve.

Who ever said Noah was white? And remember, Noah brought his wife, his sons and their wives (who could have been pregnant by someone other than his sons), so theoretically it means that we may not all be related to Noah. As far as the races, while there are similaries, there are also distinct differences, for example, there are diseases that are unique to Jewish people, sickle cell is rarely found outside of the ******* race (my apologies to anyone who doesn't like the term, but it is the technical name), etc. Of course, all apple trees west of the Mississippi are said to come from the same stock that Johnny Appleseed had, yet there are great variations in those descendents. BTW, who said that "we" discriminate against black people? Discrimination knows no color, just ask the Hutu's and the Tutsi's, who have been killing each other's tribes for years (and both tribes are in Africa).

Gen 7: 13] In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

This tells us that Noahs sons had wives with them who were not closely related to them. So there were 8 people in the ark.

These were all that remained of the people at one time. And we all descended from them even more directly then we are from Adam and Eve.

I have a theory that God caused the change in the color of skin at the tower of Babel. Mind you now, this is just my personal idea.

The people were working so closely together it appeared they would use their intelligence for that which was not good.

If you read the story in Genesis 11 you will learn that God confounded the languages that day. Right there, suddenly and without warning, people could not understand what some of their coworkers were saying.

The God I know is not a God of chaos, he would not leave people totally disoriented with no way to talk to others and since this was completely new to humans he gave them a means to know which people spoke the same language. What better way than to change their physical appearance? To those who would develop what we now know as the Oriental languages he gave a slight yellow tint and oval eyes. To those who would migrate to Afrika he gave very dark skin (which may have gotten even darker over time) To some others he gave a light brown skin and lastly to those who would populate Europe he simply removed all pigment and left them as palefaces (No pun intended, well maybe a little one)

Notice please, The Orientals share a similar form of writing and linguists find commonalities in their languages not found in others. The many peoples of Africa have different languages now but there are forms and sounds common only to their languages. The brown people would speak the Arabic languages which have commonalities to each other and the palefaces would settle in Europe with a language that linguists agree came from some ancient form of proto-language about 4000 BC.

According to wikipedia;

The world's languages have been grouped into families of languages that are believed to have common ancestors. Major families are the Indo-European languages, the Afro-Asiatic languages, the Austronesian languages, and the Sino-Tibetan languages.

Four groups, four skin colors and of course over time there have been some blendings of races and even some environmental factors that caused change but it seems to me that the world linguists agree on four "Mother tongues" and basically there are four skin tones. So, on that I base my best guess.

So, that provides further physical proof that we indeed have common roots.

Now, why can't we get along? That is due to the prideful, selfish nature that unfortunately is a factor brought in by sin. Rebellion against God. Satan loves to stir up our differences so we will start fights and even shooting wars. I am certain he was wringing his hands in glee during both of the world wars. When one side used nerve gas in Europe during WWI he most likely was laughing out loud. When the A-bombs fell on Japan he most likely was leaping with joy.
He likes to see God's children mutilated and destroyed because we are God's image and he hates God.

The differences in lanugage and colors is one tool that satan can and does use against those who do not perceive that we are all brothers and sisters/

The Great flood was actually a small flood that took place in the Mid East when the Mediterranean flooded the land. Africa did not get hit. Nor did most of the world. It just seemed like it to thoes people writing at the time. In the Babylonian story of Gilgamesh there was also a flood... so Noah and his family probably weren't the only one's to survive it.

First: He Noah was told to take 2 of every unclean flesh, now man is flesh, so Noah may have take the races aboard.
Second: The flood may have been local, the Flood was to get rid of the geber (giants)

Third: Noah was reddish earth (middle eastern).

Were not all the same race. But I don't know why one race feels above another.
Slavery to a point I can understand but to hate a race just because of the color of the skin or the slant of the eyes is beyond me. I can understand the hate of an idea, a group, a political party, and even a religion, but just for the color I do not understand it.

Noah was Jewish and the Jews are mixed because they were scattered many times into other lands because of their disobedience. Noah was not the only one. It was, Genesis 7:7
And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. 8 people and from them they multiplied.
The law came later where they were no longer to uncover the nakedness of family. Noahs 3 sons Ham Shem and Japeth were ones who made up the races that we know today. Ham is the colored race(s) Shem are the asian and Japeth was the white. All ethnic backgrounds were formed when men began to build the tower of babel in Genesis 11..God bless

It also means that the family tree doesn't have many branches and there is a high probability there will be genetic anomalies which leads to environmental selection of characteristics with survival value and evolution. Some living in equatorial areas will probably have melanin in their skin to survive and in the northern regions less melanin. It may be that we are closely related to bonobos since we share almost all of the same genetic material. Well that's all I know, I better quit for this week and read more Marvel books.

Yes Noah and his family are our ancestors, just as Adam and Eve and all their offspring were the original ancestors of all of us. And you made a brilliant point about why do we discriminate. I must have been raised in a home that never talked about color, because it's always puzzled me (or seemed laughably ludicrous) that people would judge another because of the color of their skin. Your point is very well taken.

Noah wasn't the only one who survived the flood. Noah and his wife and his sons and their wives all survived the flood. Their wives were probably not of relation to Noah's family, but anyway, that would make us related, but we're not completely inbred. Perhaps Noah was white and his wife was a different color and Noah's kids and their wives were all different colors. I don't know why we're racist. Of course, you're asking a rhetorical question, but I like answering rhetorical questions. I don't know why we are, but it's pretty darn ignorant of us.

If you got your Noah info from the Bible (where that story DOES come from), you gotta read everything.
There was some guy (ha, I cant remember) who got cursed back in the day before Noah, and part of his curse was darker skin and his children and their children, etc, would be discriminated against.
Yes, is Noah and his family were the only ones left, we are all related.
And racist people don't care about relation. They care about skin color. That's why their racist.
