i can only give you the speed that the water will have once it gets out of the nozzel and the pressure as you didn't give enough information :
speed = square root of (2*g*h)
speed = square root of (2*9.81*15.24meter) = 17.29187 m/s
pressure depends on the depth of the tank = ( the density of water*g*depth of the tank )
pressure = (1000*9.81*depth)

The pressure is the main factor. The water has to leave the nozzle at a sufficient velocity to reach 50 feet. I'll leave it to you to find the formula, just do a quick search under gravity. The pump size is determined by the flow rate which is determined by the nozzle size. As long as the pump can produce the required pressure so the water has the required velocity, the nozzle and discharge is immaterial other than whatever quantity of water it is you want.
