Vaccinating a 7 week old puppy is useless, the mother's antibodies are still active for a few weeks after nursing stops, most dogs who are vaccinated at ages under 9 weeks have usually been vaccinated to make the purchaser feel better... If the dog actually has been diagnosed with distemper he should probably be allowed to have a peaceful death via euthanasia. It is possible for a puppy to survive though... it is rare and not worth the suffering you are inducing on the animal. Symptoms can last for 3-5 months and it will not be pretty. If the dog was older, a few years, he would have a much better prognosis... a puppy this young has such a slim chance of survival it really is better to not make him suffer.
**slightly off topic**
The idea of vaccinating puppies at 6 weeks is ridiculous at best unless something has happened to the mother. Why? It is completely ineffective but still contains all of the negative aspects of vaccinations. Such as allergic reactions resulting in death, shortened life span, decreased immune function, development of food allergies, and in rare instances contraction of the disease being immunized against. The only reason to vaccinate a puppy at 6 weeks of age is to increase salability of the animal. People want puppies with shots because that's what pet stores and newpaper breeders advertise. Yes, you should get your puppies vaccinated, beginning at 9 to 10 weeks or at least 3-4 weeks after regular nursing has ended. That also means that you should not be selling (or buying) 7 or 8 week old puppies... they are not physically well off and I don't have enough space on yahoo answers to get into the behavioral difficulties associated with taking a puppy away from it's litter and mother before 11 weeks of age.

No puppies would survive after the attack of distemper. Sometimes it seems to recover, but the symptoms recur after a couple of weeks.
The intensity of disease varies on the immune status of the dog. The prognosis for this disease is always grave.
Once the dog showed epileptic symptoms, it is very difficult to maintain the pet for more than couple of days in isotonic solutions.
More than half of all dogs die between 2 weeks and 3 months after infection, usually from central nervous system complications.
Dogs that appear to recover may develop chronic or fatal central nervous system problems. Dogs with mild symptoms (e.g., myoclonus) may recover, though the symptoms can persist for several months or longer.
Most veterinarians recommend euthanasia for dogs that suffer progressive, severe neurological complications.
Prevention:
Isolate the affected dog from other dogs because it is contagious, incurable, often fatal, multisystemic viral disease that affects the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and central nervous systems.
Other dogs should be vaccinated, if they havent already been.

If they do survive, they later go on to having seizures and complications which eventually kill them. One dog I have seen recover from distemper as a pup, she started having seizures at 4 years old, she only lived a couple of months after that.

I hope you have been to a Vet. This is the very first thing you should do. Your vet can tell you what the survival rate is and start treatment. They can also tell you how bad your pup is and what you will need to do. This is a very young pup and should have still been with its mother. Hope everything works out for the best.

you will ought to take him to an emergency vet real away, ask if there is something which will treatment him, then if their is spend your money so he could have the treatment then whilst they provide him a treatment purchase a centred practise manual on boxer care and study it very thoroughly and memorize the financial disaster in keeping with a canines wellbeing, communicate to your vet approximately the thank you to handle minor injuries, purchase a domestic dog first help kit. do this as quickly as he's cured so as that he continues to be healthful. Now whilst talking him to the vet conceal him up in a heat blanket, placed him in a secure dogs service,do no longer panic or your domestic dog might sense it and comprehend some thing is incorrect. rather consult with him comfortingly on a thank you to the vet,so he can loosen up. Be pleased and satisfied on the vets so the domestic dog does not get worrying or under pressure. If the vet tells you it relatively is impossible to treatment him, the only to blame component to do is to place him to sleep if he must be placed to sleep act calm satisfied and loving so he a minimum of knows of ways plenty you adore him and are nicely and satisfied until eventually now he dies. If he's placed to sleep purchase yet another boxer domestic dog that sounds like him, provide it the comparable call and enable your like to canines be reborn!
