It seems most wars that humanity has fought, has been based in some sort of religious context. It's time we start reevalutating our core beliefs. A belief in God is a very human experience. So is the belief that we are one planet. Secular Humanism in just that, a voyage to understand who we really are.

That thru the awesome power of science, we have the answers to some of the questions that religion couldn't or wouldn't answer. First is evolution, it's a fact, it really happened. It's so much more a comforting thought to know that all life on this tiny planet, is connected. Also, by understanding more of the universe, we learn more about ourselves.

Carl Sagan, Gene Roddenbury and John Lennon are a few Secular Humanists that have contributed to this new way of thinking. Religion isn't the only way to live your life. I understand that most people need to feel special. But you are special, in your own and human way.

...and I don't think that conflict is a trait of human nature. Nature is about change, change to survive. If you don't adapt to your changing enviroment, you perish.

How many years have humans been around? That whole time we have ALWAYS found reasons to slaughter each other. Even if we all changed our beliefs there would still be something at some stage that we will find to fight over.

Yes.

There Is only one god, who is in all of us, but history teaches those of us who can learn it, that in different times and places God spoke to different peoples and cultures in different ways ... so that they would understand.

All religions are valid, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, of course.

Mohamed taught love ... especially brotherly love, and love of God.
Buddha taught love ... for all beings ... but not saying you have to love god ... cause if you love all beings .. you automatically love God ... duh? He Is all beings.
Christ taught Love ... and you know it.
Rama taught love ... romantic and heroic. Love of God
Krishna taught love ... for Radha and Justice.Love of God too.
( now we're going back in time to different cultures and ages ... what fun!)
Lao Tsu taught love, because he saw God in the nature of the universe. Where else to see Him. Follow the way of the Tao, but accept other ways too. Duh !
Confucius saw Love/ God in honor. We need more of that.
Moses saw Love/ God in leading his people away from idolatry and out of slavery. What's wrong with that.

I think God wanted the good for all these people ... and us.

God still lives in everyone of us and He is in control more than you can imagine, but we have His given ability for our free will.

That's why it's real life. That's why sometimes it is sad. That's why it's so much fun.

PS .. Evolution is the way God created the world, He's in no rush. It's part of His Magic/Miracle ... science, the way it works

Thanks for your question. Bless you. .. aum, tat, sat ... shalom and namaste'.

Jonnie

PS again, The Taliban don't understand any of this... that's to bad ...huh.
Someday when understanding comes we will have peace ... let's work for that day. Imagine ... John Lennon

It will happen when everyone gets the hint that no matter what you believe, you have a right to exist.

I know, only in a perfect world....
