Certainly the cell phone, the risk is minimal but there, at best they are a nuisance on the aircraft communication systems, sitting in a cockpit following landing when everyone turns their cell phones on the there is a very distinctive and distracting clicking noise from all the cell phones searching for their stations. Secondly one of many examples is there are a number recorded instances of cell phone interference activating fire detection systems in cargo holds on certain aircraft types, resulting in aircraft having to make emergency landings due to a possible fire that isn't there, very costly and not without risk. Finally the most critical time for any aircraft is when it is making a landing in bad visibility when the pilot is relying solely on the integrity of the navigation and landing guidance system close to the ground, any interference with that could be critical. The second reason cell phones are more dangerous is imagine the air rage developing from the obnoxious loud cell phone user in the seat beside you !!!. I would end up stabbing him with my nail clippers !!!

Well, if you don't have explosives to set off with your cellphone, apparently it can mess with some of the directional equipment on a plane. you can usually take fingernail clippers IF you break off the file... Although, since most fingernail clippers swing open anyway, you can still jam the end into somebody's neck without the file... So I would say fingernail clippers, because most people don't carry their explosives with them on long flights.

A cell phone is more dangerous. Cell phones have more of a chance of disrupting some of the instrumentation on a plane, plus they can be used to detonate explosives.
