Actually, there is an easier way to get buttermilk. Just buy milk and an acid (like lemon juice, vinegar, etc.). Then just take the ratio of 1cup milk to 1 tbsp of acid, and presto, you have buttermilk! But I know you can buy buttermilk at Wal-Mart. It should be near the yogurt and dairy products section (normally comes in a carton, not plastic container).

Of course you can! Most Wal-Mart stores have a supermarket in them, so you can definitely get buttermilk, CDs, clothes, TVs, and anything else you want. Just remember, go in for the buttermilk and buttermilk ONLY! Happy shopping!

Instead of buying buttermilk try making a substitute with what you normally have on hand.
For every cup of milk add 1 Tbls of fresh lemon juice.
Allow to sit in milk at room temperature for a half an hour.
You can also use sour cream and add some milk to thin it out.

Of course you can...it's over there with all the other dairy stuff...I just wish they carried Indian curry sauces and such! It's not easy to make a decent rogan josh from scratch...I do okay with a chicken masala and such which is cream based but the rogan josh is an entirely different matter.

Wal-mart normally would sell something like that. If they don't, your nearest grocery store, such as Krogers, would definetely have it.

Yes you can! It's in with the other milk and sold in much smaller containers (usually in quart size containers or even pints).
