Religion is a mind virus. It inhibits the human brain from using logic and reason. It appeals to our emotions and feelings and not our intelligence. So my answer is we should not follow any religion. A reevaluation of our core beliefs is necessary if we are to survive the next hundred years.

Because an individual can become stronger when voluntarily a member of a group that respects the individual, and if the group has a goal of adding usefulness to the future of the individuals in it, or at least a goal of adding usefulness to the local community, rather than simply gaining members for some overall competition for resources.
Not many religions will follow this code, but you might find one.
I prefer Atheism and secular community groups myself.

The arabic word that is translated as religion,is "deen".This has a some-what different understanding associated with it.It basically means the usage of faith in this life that prepares a person for the reality of the next.It's mercy is that it has knowledge to assist the person to challenge themselves with the ever changing conditions concerning this life as it prepares itself for the meeting of it's Lord.

Because God made us, and he'd like to have a personal relationship with each person, so that after this life, you can be eternally happy with him in heaven. Religion helps you honor him and get to know him better, so you can realize and be grateful for your dependence on him. You need to put your faith in him, and obey his commands, and religion can help you know and understand them better.

talking abt religion hmmmmmm............. itz simple all the religionz in the world r diffrent life stylez which was chossen for us by some ppl like lord krishna , guru nanak dev jee , christ and many more u don't have to follow any religion u just need to chose a life style .......... all of those guyz wanted to do something good 4 other ppl it was there life style dosen't have to be urs u have to chose ur life style so chose to be who u want to be .................

By birth we are tied to sinful thought and feelings.Satan attack us in many ways.When you accept Christ in your life wholeheartedly,Jesus transforms your life .Every thing get renewed.You will be filled with the divine peace of heaven.So religion is a must for humans.

Because it is easy to be fullfilled on the outside but religion fullfills you on the inside. You wont understand until you truely are a believer in your HEART.

Lot will depend on how you define Religion.
We need to have a set ( of what ever ) to follow , simply because we are Social.
